Foods of New York Tours

We very much enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very well informed on all the material she presented to us. We got a lot more than we bargained for in this tour and the food was great. Will be recommending this to others!!

Green Village was my first choice, however, I think this is better tour for me. I won't go in deep Chelsea Market since only few info and limited day in my NY trip. Me,from Taiwan, and my friend, who came from the UK, had great time. We even changed our itinerary to visit Chelsea dis again. We had inexpensive oyster in lobster place and a great dinner in Pastis, the recommonded French bistro. It's really worth to participate if you want to experience some local taste. ^_^

The tour was great! The history of the West Village is fascinating and the tastings were delicious! Our guide was articulate, knowledgeable and refreshingly nice. We plan on taking another tour in the fall. We most certainly would recommend Food of New York tours. We had a wonderful time!

We thought that this would be a great way to discover a new area and get away from the tourist eateries around the Time Square area that we spent the majority of our last visit at. This tour gave us some great food suggestions to return to during our extended stay in NYC. I highly recommend doing the tour at the start of your trip if at all possible, so you have plenty of time to return to the numerous places recommended by the tour. Our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the area giving us a good mix of food tastings and history We tried a number of the different places after the tour all with equally satisfying results. A wonderful day out. Not even the rain could ruin the day. Plenty of tastings on the tour to even satisfy the fussy eater.

Marie did an excellent job on our Greenwich tour, informing us about historical sites and points of interest in the neighborhood. In addition to the 8 delicious food tastings we got an overview of many local restaurants and their specialties This is the second time my husband and I have taken this particular tour and were pleased that our family enjoyed it as much as we did. I have also taken the Chelsea tour which was led my Curtis as was our previous Greenwich tour. I must take the opportunity to say that he is entertaining and very informed about both areas of the city. He is a wonderful asset to the company..

The tour was absolutely amazing,the selected stops were wonderful. Our group had a wonderful time and days later everyone is still talking about what a great time we had. We are looking forward to another tour in the future and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a great activity in the city. It was an amazing time! Thanks!

We enjoyed our tour of the market, but we prefer the tours that are in neighborhoods. Diana had good stories to tell and was very interesting. Much of the tour was indoors (inside the market) and we felt the market could be explored by yourself, but you would miss the story of how the market came to be etc. As always, very professionally done and we had a fun day.

We loved exploring the neighborhood, seeing where "Friends" was filmed, learning something new, all that and a delicious taste of N.Y. city. Starting with a "slice" and ending with a cannoli! Barry was a lovely guide. The range of foods was interesting, from the everyday to the unique. We would highly recommend any of their tours, and heard great things about the one tour we have yet to take. Looking forward to Chinatown the next time we are in the city.

I loved it and highly recommend it. In fact, I already did. The guide was woderful, what personality. Very agreable person. The food delicious and the amounts perfect. I later returned to several of the places for MORE>>>>

The Greenwich Food Tasting and Cultural Tour was right up my alley. I love to eat and enjoy learning about new places. My wife and I have been to New York a couple of times, but we've never spent much time in the Village. This walking tour made us feel right at home in the neighborhood. As a matter of fact, we came back the next night and had dinner in one of the suggested retaurants (Little Havanah). We introduced ourselves to the owner and let her know we heard about her restaurant through the tour. The food was great and the wait staff was friendly. We really felt comfortable coming back to this area later. The Village has fabulous restaurants, authentic New York pizza, wonderful bakeries, an excellent cheese shop, and a variety of markets you can't find anywhere else. This tour helped us realize that New York is filled with wonderful cuisine and exciting cultural experiences. We ventured to many other areas after this tour because we felt comfortable walking the streets of New York. We only regret we ran out of time before we could take another one of your tours. Next time we're in the city we will surely try another one. Thanks so much for showing us a good time and introducing us to a tremendous cultural adventure. It was a very hot and humid day that made the tour difficult. I suggest adding at least two more places to taste food (In addition to the six places) and try to make the activity inside the restaurants as much as possible. Our tour leader was very nice & well culinary educated.

WHat a fun tour to do and discover great places to eat or buy from for nice picnics :-) We loved the history part of the tour and obviously we loved the food! Great way to know about a part of the city!
