Bert was wonderful at explaining the village! so many things you would never know about the neighborhood if you just walked around it. he said many times how much he enjoys his job and it shows. He was so nice and the different food was fun to try. |

The tour was great - amazing history, amazing amounts and quality of food, and our tour guide (Kurt) was just fantastic! Can't wait to come back to NYC and take a couple more tours with this company and Kurt. |

The food tour of Greenwich Village was really great. Food samples were yummy. Heather, our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the tour. I've been to NY several times, both on business and for vacation, but had never ventured outside the standard Mid-town, Times Square experience. This was a great way to explore another part of New York. I'll definitely try other food tours the next time I'm in town. |

This was one of my favorite things I did during my visit to NYC. The tour guide was super knowledgable and the food stops were incredible. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to get the true feeling for Greenwich Village. It was outstanding and worth the money. |

We had never tried anything like this and didn't know quite what to expect. What a delightful experience it was! Our nephew, in NYC for the first time (as a high school graduation present), was utterly impressed, and very taken with Greenwich Village. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable not only about the foods we tasted but also about the history and architecture of the area. We enjoyed it so much that we recommended it to friends who live in NYC, as well as family who visited from Australia recently, and who were going to be in the city. We tasted everything; from Joe's pizza, to nibbles from an Italian restaurant, to a specialty olive oil shop, to a specialty cheese shop, to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and to freshly made New York style cheesecake. WELL DONE! |

Much to my surprise I learned a great deal of history about Greenwich Village and the restaurants we visited. All of the food was wonderful and I loved the entire Greenwich area. Our tour guide shared a wealth of knowledge with us and he was very entertaining. I even went back to the Greenwich area the next day to visit the shops and enjoy some Gelato ice cream. I highly recommend this tour. |

My husband and I loved the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking food tour! Our guide was friendly, informative, and fun. We will definitely spend more time in this area next time we are back in New York. We have been on the Greenwich tour and look forward to trying another one in the future. |

We loved our food tour in Greenwich Village! (family of 4 with 12 and 18 yr olds). A little off the beaten track....not as crowded as the 'major attractions'. We tasted the simple (NY pizza and chocolate chip cookies), the eclectic (risotto balls and dates stuffed gorganzola) and the divine (Italian cannoli)!
Bert was our tour guide and was enthusiastic from start to finish. He happily answered all questions about the tour and NYC in general. It was hot but he never faltered. Bert lead us on a multi-faceted tour. Every street was a destination whether we were tasting delicious food, getting the lowdown on neighborhood restaurants and shops of all kinds or learning about the history of Village architecture. It was a highlight of our trip.
Later that evening we went back to one of the neighborhood restaurants that Bert had told us about....there really was a 1700's farmhouse 'out back' annexed to the restaurant courtyard and surrounded by modern buildings!! Who knew. And the food there was superb....so that meal was a highlight of our trip too.
It was a good day in NYC! |

In a nutshell, we loved this tour! This is the third Foods of New York Tour we have taken and once again they have hit a home run with the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District Tour. Our guide, Diana, was wonderful. She was both entertaining and extremely well versed in every aspect of the tour, including the history and cultural aspects of the market and the surrounding Meatpacking area. We sampled foods from a wide variety of food shops and restaurants in and around the Chelsea Market -- all of which were absolutely delicious! To top the great food off, we gained facinating insights into the development of the businesses, artwork and architecture in the marketplace and the surrounding area. |

Our family of 5 enjoyed a hearty lunch and was thouroghly entertained by our witty and knowledgeable tour guide, Bert. He gave us a great back door experience through Greenwich Village and it's many tastey culinary as well as cultural treats. We would never had been able to sample and taste as many delicious foods nor gain the inside scoop without having been on this tour. Our family gives 5 thumbs up for Bert and Food Tours of NYC!!! Thank you for a wonderful taste of NYC. |

Bari was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable not only about the neighborhood but about all the food we ate. She consistently listed off ingredients to all the dishes we had and gave us a great concept of the history behind everything. She was very good at keeping the group together, keeping track of everyone, and had a real passion for the Village. Thanks for everything! |
