The trolley ride is expensive, we have been on other trolley rides in other cities where you can get on and off at points of intereste. This one does not stop at any of the historical sites, only slows or drives past. There is only 1 trolley, it leaves the visitors center 2 times a day, in the off season. We would have liked to get off at a few places and walk around. The tour guide (driver) knew his part, and could answer some questions.
Even with only one trolley, extending the tour by an hour of so to allow for a 10-15 minute stop at such places as the battle field, or the Marye house would have added to the tour. |

Our trolley driver was FANTASTIC! (A lady -- don't remember her name -- we went on Friday 4/25). She told facts and stories the entire time. She obviously knows her history information. My husband and I brought out of state friends. We have lived in F'Burg for 20 years and learned new facts. Our friends loved it. Thanks for a good time! |

The Fredericksburg Trolley Tour is a delightful way of seeing what downtown Fredericksburg has to offer. The trolley itself is roomy enough for comfort and small enough for an intimate feel with the guide and fellow passengers.
I went with my four children (12,11,8,4), we're local, and my mother from Florida. The tour was informative and fun, it held my childrens' attention and the grown-ups' as well.
The tour takes one around and gives an overview of historical places to visit, "tidbits" of information that I as a local didn't even know and businesses that are open today.
The Fredericksburg Trolley Tour is highly recommended to those visiting the area, especially when done in the first day or so of the visit it can give ideas of places to actually go and see and do.
The Fredericksburg Trolley Tour is highly recommended to locals that think they know everything about downtown Fredericksburg. It can show places of events not well known and places that are tucked away and would be fun to see for a few hours of educational enjoyment.
When other family and friends come to visit I certainly will take them on the tour. |

Enjoyed this so much. Fredericksburg is such a beautiful town
and so much to offer. We did not remember that so much
history and famous persons are tied to this place. We recommend
this for anyone. Thanks Fredericksburg and everyone involved.

On 7 April, took Trolley Tour of Fredericksburg (4 people in party)
Tour departed on schedule, was well planned and had an outstanding Tour Director/Driver.
Having lived in area for years (1922-1942) I was familiar with much of the history. Nevertheless, our Tour Director passed on new info as well as being totally correct in relating "old" items.
My guests (from Alabama) were delighted with the tour, as were my wife and I. We plan to use the system for future visitors from within the U.S. and from overseas.

We have lived in Fredericksburg since 1994 but had never taken the trolley tour. We had a friend in from NC and needed an activity for the afternoon. We chose the trolley tour and it was a great success. None of us are history buffs but our guide, Kathy, brought the whole picture together for us. We now have a deeper appreciation for the historical events that happened here in our town, and can see how people can feel so passionately about it. Our guest enjoyed the tour as well. The afternoon was a great success. Thanks to all involved! |

I took visiting relatives on this tour a few months ago. It was so good, I brought a visitor from out of the country for the tour. She said it was so good and informative, she wants to go again next time she visits! |
