| I highly reccommed this tour to anyone with relatives who have come to visit. It is chock full of historical facts presented in a fun and informative way. (The tour guide has a real sense of humor!) Grown ups and children alike will enjoy this tour. To start, there is a large parking lot, so no hassels there, and clean public restrooms to use before and after the tour, (Very important!) and the information center is right there to get maps of the area for further exploring . It is situated so you can leave your car and ramble about the town and check out all the "touristy" little shops and great antique shops nestled in the original historical buildings. Abundant sidewalk cafe's abound for a delightful lunch and lots of coffe shops and goodies. After "doing" the town you can go check out the nearby Civil War Visitors Center which shows a short informative film of the Civil War and also see the history of the times. All in all, I feel you will have a grand day of "visiting and memories" if you take this tour. It is well worth the price. |

| Our tour guide was so knowledgeable. He really knew the history of downtown. I live here and I'm glad to learn new things about the area. We've been here a year and didn't know all we saw. My family from out of town enjoyed it also. My son did alright but not real entertaining for young children since this is a oral history ride. He enjoyed the ride but didn't get what he was looking at. I say the guide was great though.
Would be nice to have a tour to the battlefields and also one for kids to introduce them to our area history. |

| I had family in town and took them on the trolley. I have been on it 3 times before (at least). I had never ridden with John before but he was, by far, the best guide. From his enthusiasm to his knowledge! If I had to go on the trolley again I would find out what tour he was on and take that one! |

| We had a good time! Our trolley driver was very enthusiastic and cheerful about the history and sites of downtown Fredericksburg. He was very easy to listen to. We were given a wealth of information while zig zagging throughout town. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who visits Fredericksburg or even those who have lived there for 20 years! |

Do it, but on a clear day without small kids.

| We were there on a rainy November day in the 50 degree range. This was a big problem because the inside windows were completely fogged up with the heat on & everyone in the trolley. The driver/guide gave us papers to use to swipe the window, but really it was a loosing battle. Visibility was poor because most people gave up on trying to keep up on the windows, so you could only really see out of your own little one. The tour was interesting and highlights the best of Fredericksburg. It was our springboard for going to see certain places, of our choosing, on our own [the trolley makes no stops]. Our guide was knowledgable and thorough, however the trolley doing the tour spent quite a bit longer at certain stops which made us wonder what they were learning. We have seen this tour advertised as one of the best things to do with kids in Virginia, however it was pretty boring for my 4 year old. He enjoyed the trolley ride but being near an hour an a half he was pretty fidgety at the end! I would definitely recommend this tour, however unless your kids, at any age, are really into history and enjoy drive by tours of historic buildings, I wouldn't include them. |

| Awesome! This was a work team event and everyone has been in this area for a number of years but never went on the Trolley Tour. Our driver/host, John was great! We all enjoyed it and learned some interesting facts about Fredericksburg. Thanks! |
