Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg, Inc.

I went in expecting a ride around the city, accompanied by maybe a few pointers for hot spots to visit. I left with an very fun and informative education about that city. Our guide was enthusiastic, fun, and knowledgeable. I am definitely recommending this trolley tour to friends and family, the city of Fredericksburg is a much more interesting place now that I have experienced this tour.

Our bus driver and tour guide was well versed, spoke loud enough for all to hear, was very friendly , and had a good sense of humor. He also demonstrated pride in the city and of the history. It was most enjoyable and informative.

This tour was informative and entertaining. The trolley was comfortable with a good quality sound system. The driver/guide was excellent, knowledgeable and funny. Fredricksburg is a charming and historic town with lots to see.

Our tour guide was great and very informative. He pointed out many places that we ended up going back to in order to explore further. This tour gave a good flavor of Fredericksburg!! Well done!!

We always take first-time visitors on this tour. It's a great introduction to the history of Fredericksburg and serves as a launching off point for exploring the city further, whether it be delving further into the historical side or touring the shopping. Drivers have always been very knowledgeable and friendly. We have taken kids (ranging 2 to 5yrs) of age and though they don't fully grasp the tour they enjoy the adventure of riding the trolley throughout the city (though the younger ones always get tired near the end but it always ends up being a sit on my lap tired vice a cranky tired). Riders get a trolley sticker which signals some local businesses to provide discounts which can come in handy.

This is especially great for those who are only in Fredericksburg for a short time. Also a good overview of the city to help with ideas of things to go back to see on your own. Heidi was very knowledgable & entertaining.

This was a great overview of Fredericksburg. They provided us with discount coupons/stickers for anything else that we wanted to go back and see in more detail which was really nice. Every stop was full of historical information and it was presented in such a way that it was exciting and interesting to everyone of all ages. The only thing I would have liked better is if it had been a hop on/off situation where if we wanted to see more of something that we could get off and another trolley would be around in a little bit for us to get on. I think that the business that they are running may be too small for that, though. Our guide was great and we had a wonderful time!

The tour guide was knowledgeable and courteous, with an appropriate sense of humor - - all excellent qualities in a "teacher." His commentary was interesting throughout the trip, and he was thorough with information, given the amount of time. We would recommend this tour without hesitation.

Tour guide (John) was very knowledgeable, obviously very proud of Fredericksburg's history and provided helpful information on what the town had to offer to West Coast tourists..

I have had the pleasure of riding the Trolley in the past. Fantastic experience with 2 different guides. The interaction between the guide and the passengers was enjoyable. I bragged for one solid year and finally convinced my son and girlfriend to join my husband and I for a tour. We departed on Sept. 4th 2011. It was the last scheduled for the day and it was quite warm. Needless to say the trip was not as I recalled in my past experiences. There were no interactions. The explanations were not as colorful and the guide seemed "tired" which I am sure she was. The guide was centered on the restaurants more than the historical sights and I am sure that many sights were even missed. I was disappointed in the tour and will make sure that particular guide is not on for the day.

We were really surprised by the rich heritage of Fredericksburg! So many very old homes; such a large historic district. We never could have learned all the driver told us; well worth the time and cost spent.

There is too much to see in the historic district in the town of Fredericksburg in a couple of days and the tolley tour enables one to see the big picture plus provide specific points of interest. The speciifc points of interest can later be toured at ones leisure. And while we were not able to see some other points of interest at least we have been educated and "feel" as though we did visit them. Plus it provides us w/ "markers" for a future visit. The trolley tour sparks such interest. Our driver (John) was very enthusiastic and well informed on the community and the history of Fredericksburg. Very helpful and very educational. Well worth the price of a ticket.

The tour was excellent and very informative. I would have loved to go into of some of the sights though, it would have added to the overview. Also, if lunch was included at the end it would have been special.
