We were a bit hindered by the rain, but still a great way to check out Brooklyn. Lots of fun facts about Brooklyn and great selection of foods.

Isaac was very knowledgeable about Brooklyn's history. The first bus driver didnt show up but Isaac made up for it and kept the whole team entertained. The food was very good and just enough not to feel stuffed. I learnt alot and had a good time

Great food with a great guide to Brooklyn

Our group of 4 really enjoyed the tour and the wide variety of food that we had. Isaac is an enthusiastic guy from Brooklyn that knows the area and history. This is our 4th culinary tour and the only one that didn't require a lot of walking as we traveled to each place by bus. That worked great for us since we were there in the heat wave. Only reommendation to improve the tour is to provide a better map as we went the wrong way after we got off the subway.

We enjoyed our tour of Brooklyn with Isaac. It was a unique look at an area of New York we'd never visited.

We went to places we would never have found on our own. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Food was good and very diverse, we covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Brooklyn.

My family and I enjoyed this tour very much. We did not know what to expect and can say enthusiastically that we had a great time. Issac was a very informative tour guide who provided a great deal of historical information and kept the mood light. We enjoyed the food very much and really liked going to the different neighborhoods. We would have never seen or done this much on our own. We felt very well cared for and safe during the entire tour. Would recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic Experience

This 9 day New York City trip was a graduation present for my son who recently graduated high school. We really enjoyed this trip as it was very unique and small. I did 6 months worth of research trying to find "non touristy" activities as my son and I really wanted to experience Mew York less like a tourist and more like a potential resident. Which is also part of the reason for the trip. The guide, Isaac was very informative, friendly and had a passion for his city I only wish I could have for mine. The driver (Dolores) was wonderful. Really knew her way around and was really sweet. It was a great experience and my 18 year old absolutely loved it. He was not bored for one second. Nor was I. If you are a fan of the big bus tours with 40 or more gawking tourists who want to eat at Olive Garden or Red Lobster (gack..) this tour is not for you. But if you want REAL New York culture, people and food this is YOUR tour.

My husband and I took this tour over Memorial Day weekend, there were just 5 of us (the rest of the group overslept!) The food was great and Isaac was wonderful. The ladies we were with were from New Orleans and they had never tasted some of the foods. The Polish food was good and the Cuban sandwich was tasty. Isaac was very informative about the culture and neighborhoods. I had never been to Brooklyn and hope we can go back there again.

Small tour, WONDERFUL tour guide

On the morning of our tour, my friend asked what we could expect. Having no idea myself, I simply told her we could be exploring Brooklyn and its food. How wrong I was for it was so much more than that. Our first surprise was the size of our tour. With only 4 participants, we were able to take a car rather than a large bus. Our next surprise: our wonderful tour guide, Issac, asked if any of us had time constraints-since none did, this allowed Issac to really personalize and extend the tour. Once loaded in the car, we all assumed we were off to Brooklyn. But not yet-there was going to be more than we had hoped. Issac decided to add The Bowery area of Lower Manhattan to our tour which brought us to 2 institutions in the area: Yonah Schimmel's and Russ & Daughters. And both were amazing! Once in Brooklyn, we were able to not only try amazing foods at wonderful, quaint restaurants, but we were also able to explore the neighborhoods, getting a true local experience and enlightening perspective we would not have gotten on a larger tour. And with Issac, you really got to know the history and stories behind the neighborhoods and its people. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience this tour offers. We were so excited to have been introduced to the sights, sounds, and flavors of Lower Manhattan as well as Williamsburg, DUMBO, and Sunset Park areas of Brooklyn, to name a few. We loved it so much, we have recommended the tour to friends who will be in NYC in June. Here's hoping they get Issac--he MADE the tour.

Isaac was a fabulous tour guide. In addition to being wonderfully informative, he was clearly focused on ensuring that our whole group had a very special Brooklyn experience. Well done!
