Private NYC Jeep Tour: Exploring the Urban Jungle

Fantastic tour. Even though I had lived in NYC for 12 years prior to my visit, I was interested in knowing more about the behind the scenes stuff of downtown NYC - especially historical information. We were definitely NOT looking for a regular tourist tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. We so enjoyed this trip and learned a lot. Even our NYU college son enjoyed this. We also loved the Brooklyn part of the tour. Highly recommend this for people who have 'done' the tourist stuff of NYC and want a relaxing yet stimulating experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Having never been to New York before it gave us a good overview of the city and its history. Isaac was a knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining guide who helped us familiarise ourselves with the area, something we found useful in following days. The tour is good value and we would recommend it to anyone; particularly first-time visitors.

A great tour of New York and its surrounding must see areas. We got to see a lot in the 3 hours and enjoyed the enthusiastic and knowledgeable commentary of our tour guide Issac. It was great that it was tailored to suit us on the day. The Jeep was very comfortable and clean. It was too cold to take the top down, but I can imagine that would have added to the experience. Thanks for the effort and sharing so much about your great city. We love NYC!

We requested a two hour tour of Brooklyn only as we have toured Manhattan numerous times. Our guide Isaac was friend, knowledgeable, and did a terrific job of showing us DUMBO, Park Slope, Williamsburg, and little stops along the way such as a bakery and candy factory.

I opted to do a private tour since I wanted to see the sights while catering to my needs, relaxing, and avoiding crowd chaos. I really appreciate Isaac coming out on Christmas morning. He accommodated my hotel pick-up request as well -- called my cell to inform me of his predicted arrival time and when he arrived. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and willing to answer any questions. He took pictures of my group at all the photo op places. Too bad the weather was too cold to have the top down on the Jeep.

I looked at this tour because my 77 year old mother who was with me had broken her ankle last winter and has not regained her walking stamina. It was wonderful! We were able to take the top off the jeep and have great visibility of the buildings our guide Isaac was describing, yet be much more comfortable than in one of the double decker buses. The company and Isaac worked with me to personalize the tour to meet the needs of our group. Isaac changed the order of the tour slightly to accommodate my wish to be dropped off at Fraunces Tavern for lunch to minimize the walking my mom would have to do. We still hit Greenwich, Tribeca, Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn Heights, etc. but he varied the order so we would end downtown rather than in Greenwich. Although my brother has explored NYC extensively, he also greatly enjoyed hearing more of the history of some of the places he had walked through on his own previously. For me it was a great overview of some of the NY neighborhoods I had not previously visited. My mom enjoyed being in a comfortable vehicle (not in a crowd on the subway or a bus) with great visibility and a personalized tour. I would highly recommend these tours! In this day and age where customer service is often non-existent, it was wonderful to go on a tour where the goal was not only to meet our needs but to exceed them!

My ambition for our short 3-day break in NYC was to get a feel for the individual neighborhoods, preferably from a local -- but since I don't know any locals and one of our party is 85 and not up for walks of any length, this was always going to be a big ask. With the rain and wind wreaking havoc on any vague plans to amble about on foot, stumbling upon the private jeep tour with its very positive reviews was a godsend....even more so when the tour leaving in 2 hours was still available for our party of 4. Isaac is perfect at what he does and is natural and charming to boot. The jeep allows you to go places and see things you could never do on a large bus tour. Rain meant we had to keep the roof on which naturally made admiring the skyscapers more challenging. But otherwise we cannot recommend this tour more highly! Thank you.

We loved the jeep tour!!!!! Our guide, Issac, was like traveling with a friend. He was ready to answer any questions and pointed out many things we had not been aware of even though we had visited NY several times. The experience is one we will sign up for on our next visit. It was a great discovery on our part !!!!!!

We were picked up by Isaac our guide from our hotel with a small delay due to the hectic traffic of 8p.m.This a private tour and so you have the guide all to yourself, which means you always get answers to your questions. Isaac showed us many sights that we would have struggled to find on our own and we deliberately took this tour early in our trip which was very useful as it allowed us to explore the places we were interested in, later on at our own pace like Greenwich Village, Soho and the FiDi. As for the jeep it was very clean and comfortable, water bottles provided as it was extremely hot that evening. Fortunately due to. The hot weather we had the top down and this gave better views of all sightseeing, skyscrapers, etc. All in all, a worthwhile excursion which we would highly recommend to anyone in love with the JEEP cars, like ourselves.
