Private NYC Jeep Tour: Exploring the Urban Jungle

I highly recommend this tour and especially our guide, Isaac. Our group consisted of myself, my sister and my 18-yr old niece for her first trip to New York. It rained for most of our trip and New York FunTours, along with Isaac, did everything they could to accommodate the weather situation. My niece hasn't stopped talking about how much she enjoyed the tour and learning about the city from Isaac.

Great fun, travelling around NYC in a jeep with our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Isaac. We saw a lot of the City in a very short time, and found time to look at places, like the Irish Hunger Memorial, and a close up view of the Brooklyn Bridge, that we would never have found by ourselves. Recommend that you take this tour at the start of your holiday as it will give you your bearings in NY and some pointers for places to revisit later on your trip. Thanks for a great morning.

On my first trip to New York I wanted to experience all that I could with a personal touch and discovered the Urban Junge Jeep Tour on the Internet. When I compared the itinerary of the Urban Junge Jeep Tour to the other tours being offered, I felt this was a perfect choice for me. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed having Issac as our personal tour guide as he took us to places of interest other tours did not offer and surpassed by expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Having never been to New York before it gave us a good overview of the city and its history. Isaac was a knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining guide who helped us familiarise ourselves with the area, something we found useful in following days. The tour is good value and we would recommend it to anyone; particularly first-time visitors.

My ambition for our short 3-day break in NYC was to get a feel for the individual neighborhoods, preferably from a local -- but since I don't know any locals and one of our party is 85 and not up for walks of any length, this was always going to be a big ask. With the rain and wind wreaking havoc on any vague plans to amble about on foot, stumbling upon the private jeep tour with its very positive reviews was a godsend....even more so when the tour leaving in 2 hours was still available for our party of 4. Isaac is perfect at what he does and is natural and charming to boot. The jeep allows you to go places and see things you could never do on a large bus tour. Rain meant we had to keep the roof on which naturally made admiring the skyscapers more challenging. But otherwise we cannot recommend this tour more highly! Thank you.

It was a hot and steamy evening in NYC....we started our adventure at the New Museum and on cue our "chariot" arrived. A spiffy, new, pull back the roof, ever so cool, green jeep. Of course my girls (age 15 and 19) jumped right in and Isaac started our tour of NYC (below 34th) and Brooklyn. Isaac kept us totally entertained: with interesting facts about the neighborhoods, installation art in Madison Square Park, notable architecture, local attractions (like the building used for the opening shot of Friends), a little history of NYC and he pointed out a few of his favorite places to eat. All the while, Isaac never was stuck in traffic...we seem to glide through the city. On to Brooklyn....we arrived at our destination just in time to catch some fireworks (not planned but a pleasant surprise)........and we got out of the jeep to enjoy a beautiful view of the NY skyline. Whisking us back to the city....we ended the evening with the best gelato from Grom. We had a great time and it was a wonderful way to start off our vacation. Often when I visit the city, all I ever see is the traffic when I traverse from one end of the city to the other. With the Jeep tour, Isaac was able to show us parts of NYC that I had never seen.....quiet off the beaten path. It was easy to understand why Isaac and so many other people that live in NY love it so much. We had so much fun...I would highly reccommend this adventure.
