Private NYC Jeep Tour: Exploring the Urban Jungle

On my first trip to New York I wanted to experience all that I could with a personal touch and discovered the Urban Junge Jeep Tour on the Internet. When I compared the itinerary of the Urban Junge Jeep Tour to the other tours being offered, I felt this was a perfect choice for me. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed having Issac as our personal tour guide as he took us to places of interest other tours did not offer and surpassed by expectations. My ambition for our short 3-day break in NYC was to get a feel for the individual neighborhoods, preferably from a local -- but since I don't know any locals and one of our party is 85 and not up for walks of any length, this was always going to be a big ask. With the rain and wind wreaking havoc on any vague plans to amble about on foot, stumbling upon the private jeep tour with its very positive reviews was a godsend....even more so when the tour leaving in 2 hours was still available for our party of 4. Isaac is perfect at what he does and is natural and charming to boot. The jeep allows you to go places and see things you could never do on a large bus tour. Rain meant we had to keep the roof on which naturally made admiring the skyscapers more challenging. But otherwise we cannot recommend this tour more highly! Thank you.

My sister and I had a wonderful trip. We took the ride in the jeep to visit all the sights in Manhattan and some in Brooklyn. Our tour guide was fabulous. I cannot say enough about him. Very educated and well versed in guiding us each step of the way. He attended to our every whim and I truely wish to thank him for a wonderful day out! It was superb! I highly recommend this tour and especially our guide, Isaac. Our group consisted of myself, my sister and my 18-yr old niece for her first trip to New York. It rained for most of our trip and New York FunTours, along with Isaac, did everything they could to accommodate the weather situation. My niece hasn't stopped talking about how much she enjoyed the tour and learning about the city from Isaac.

The group consisted of various business people from various parts of the globe. The tour was exciting and informative and the tour guides were accommodating and knew their way around like nobody's business. The two hours flew by and comments were made like: I've been to NY before and have never seen....etc. Besides the ride, the information given was interesting and the trip was energizing. The jeeps were comfortable and spacious and it was like seeing NY for the first time up close.

The group thoroughly enjoyed the excursion. Some of the people who knew New York found themselves awed by some of the sights they didn't know existed. The tour guides were engaging, informative and aimed to please. The time went by so fast they couldn't believe it and they are talking about taking their families on a jeep tour in the near future.

I sent my girlfriend and her brother on the Urban Jungle tour and they had a fantastic time, she said the tour guide was amazing and new so much about NYC. Highly recommend this tour to anyone

My husband had a 10 hour layover at JFK, Isaac picked him up at Newark Airport, took him all over New York, took him to the best places to eat, then delivered him to JFK for his flight to Singapore. Fantastic tour. Even though I had lived in NYC for 12 years prior to my visit, I was interested in knowing more about the behind the scenes stuff of downtown NYC - especially historical information. We were definitely NOT looking for a regular tourist tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. We so enjoyed this trip and learned a lot. Even our NYU college son enjoyed this. We also loved the Brooklyn part of the tour. Highly recommend this for people who have 'done' the tourist stuff of NYC and want a relaxing yet stimulating experience.

I opted to do a private tour since I wanted to see the sights while catering to my needs, relaxing, and avoiding crowd chaos. I really appreciate Isaac coming out on Christmas morning. He accommodated my hotel pick-up request as well -- called my cell to inform me of his predicted arrival time and when he arrived. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and willing to answer any questions. He took pictures of my group at all the photo op places. Too bad the weather was too cold to have the top down on the Jeep.
