Terrific tour - highly recommended
Fri, Jul 3  11:00 AM noraleung Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
In New York city for a couple days with daughter (22) and son (20), as well as a friend and her son and daughter. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the Brooklyn Food Tour. Tour is well planned, on time, and food selection is very good. Tastings more than enough for lunch, even for the 2- 20 year old males. We liked all the food, in particular, the potato knish and the Cuban sandwiches. Our guide, Isaac, did a terrific job, provided us with great information of the city as well as wonderful locations for great pictures. He is knowledgeable and personable, and recommended to us a lovely restaurant for dinner. Definitely one of the best tours we have taken. Toronto, Ontario.

Best of Brooklyn Tour Best Part of Trip

The Best of Brooklyn Bus & Food Tasting Tour was definitely the highlight of our recent trip to New York. Our tour guide, Isaac, was excellent and provided us with many insights into Brooklyn, as well as New York City in general. And the foods we sampled were both interesting and delicious. Thank you for a great day, Isaac!

Does not get any better than this!!!!

Take my advice and book this tour. When the limo pulled up (exactly on time) to pick my family up at the hotel, I could tell by the kids faces and grandma's that this was going to be one good time. The kids ( I have to admit I did too) felt like celebrities!! Eddy, was our driver and Sam, was our tour guide who sat in the back with us. The next time we are in NYC we are going to book 6 hours instead of 3. Sam was so informative and made sure we were comfortable and had refreshments for us. Isaac, (he is the boss) take good care of Eddy and Sam, they both are gems and make the difference between an OK tour and a FABULOUS one!!!!!! Eddy thanks for staying with grandma while we were out looking around with Sam.

New York from a different perspective

The guide was extremely knowledgable and interesting. He showed the group parts of New York the average tourist would not visit and opened up a new discovery - great tasting food!! We exprienced Kosher, Cuban, Italian and of course chocolate to top it all off. A pleasant and different 4.5 hours

A great way to spend an afternoon!

This tour is highly recommended, as you get to see a bit of Brooklyn and taste some good food while doing it. Unlike the usual walking tour, this one is done by jeep (or bus) with a reasonable amount of walking included, and you get to see some ethnic neighborhoods up close. They also include a brief stop in the Lower East Side of Manhattan at Yonah Schimmels for a knish and some rugeleh, which are outstanding. My only recommendation to the tour operator is that he add in one pizza stop, given that Brooklyn is most famous for it and it is not included in the present itinerary. -Ken

A great way to see New York
Wed, Jun 10  1:15 PM MaryZoo Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We don't get to New York often but we had already done the open bus tour and were looking to see a part of NY that we hadn't experienced. Isaac and the convertible provided a great way to experience lower Manhattan. He was a "fount" of information and antic dotes that kept us laughing and asking more questions. If only we had the time to try all the restaurants he recommended! It was great to be envied by everyone on the street.

Really enjoyed this tour. We were able to visit and take part in the local foods of each diverse area in Brooklin. This tour provided us with some history not found anywhere else. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go off the beatened path and experience the true beauty of Brooklin.

Fabulous Day in Brooklyn!
Mon, Jun 1  11:00 AM jstrathman Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our family of 3 has been to New York City a few times. We were looking for something different, so we booked New York Fun Tours day in Brooklyn for June 1. As it turned out, the 3 of us were the only bookings for Brooklyn that day. Did they cancel on us? NOT ON YOUR LIFE! Bill called me the morning of our tour to remind me of our meeting place and to tell us that we’d be having a private tour that day. He told us our guide, Isaac would be showing up shortly and we’d be on our way. We were able to try some awesome ethnic food from places that we would have never even noticed on our own. We saw and learned about several parts of Brooklyn, but the best part is the way that Isaac interacted with us. The whole day was conversational and fun and very flexible. I really appreciated the way that Isaac “went with the flow” instead of reciting a script to narrate the sites. We decided that we wanted to walk back across the Brooklyn Bridge which we did and Isaac got us to the “starting point” on the Brooklyn side. It took about 45 minutes or so, at a pretty leisurely pace. Would I recommend New You Fun Tours? ABSOLUTELY!

More than just a food tasting tour
Sun, May 17  11:00 AM mbroadmeadow Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This tour was wonderful for two reasons. The first is you get to eat some great food during the tour. The second reason is you also learn about the history and people who live or have lived in the areas that the tour takes you through. Isaac (tour director) was very knowledgeable on Brooklyn and New York (he lives in NY). He was very friendly and accomodating to our questions and needs. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous Tour

Isaac lead our goup of 13 on a fun and filling tour. It was a rainy day but fortunately we had a large bus to keep us out of the rain. The bus came with an on-the-ball driver who navigated the bus safely through many narrow streets. We sampled a variety of different foods and left the tour filling very full. Isaac was wonderful and very informed.

Great tour

Our group was only 3 people and the guide so we had a lot of time to ask questions and get indiviual attention. This kind of tour is much different that the kind where there are a lot of people. Our guide told us they have a 16 person maximum so that the tour can be special. The food was great, we had knishes, a cabbage noodle dish, stuffed cabbage, and a cuban sandwich. We also stopped at 2 chocolate factories for desert. It was a beautiful day so we took a short ride to Coney Island which was fun and the ride along the coast was beautiful. Our guide added this as my special request as it isn't usually part of the tour. Issac was a great guide.

Must be done

A really unique perspective of New York away from the traditional tourist haunts. Issac was very knowledgeable about the local area around little Italy, Brooklyn and China Town. The car is amazing and as you would expect gets plenty of attention from passers by. We were lucky to get the great weather on the day (even tough alternative arrangements would have been made if it had rained as predicted) We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting something different and to made to feel special. Well done great service. By the way the meeting point at the cafe serves great coffee Kathy and Allan

Our group was very impressed with our tour guide, not only for his knowledge about the areas and various building, but also the history and the little side notes that really tell a story.

The tour was delightful and I felt like I was going back in time. Visiting the food vendors everything was made by hand with love. The tour guide was very informative about Brooklyn he knew the" ins" and "outs "of the borough. It is a wonderful treat.

We come to New York once a year. The last 6 years we have signed up for a different food tour. This tour rated as one of the best. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative about the area. We will recommend this tour to our family and friends.
