UNIQUE & FUN WAY TO SEE LOWER MANHATTAN!
Fri, Jul 17  6:30 PM SPILETIC Female Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Unspecified
A PRIVATE TOUR is the only way to see NEW YORK. It was a wonderful way to see Lower Manhattan...My husband, Twelve Year old son, and I enjoyed being driven around in this eye-turning CLASSIC RED CONVERTIBLE with the top down! Our driver Isaac was a TRUE New Yorker and showed us many things we would have missed... (things off the beaten pass, also recommended restaurants ). Isaac was friendly and knowledgeable with neat interesting facts and history about New York. Bill at Fun Tours was also accommodating...this is the only tour company that I found that works with you and your schedule...They scheduled a Friday early evening tour for me, even though it was not available. They also worked with me to push the time back a bit so it did not interfere with other plans we had made after the fact. Zerve's booking agents were also very helpful in my reschedule. Arturos Pizzaria in Greenwich Village for Coal Oven Pizza is a must...Isaac even dropped us off after our tour so we could have dinner!

A Unique Must Do Tour !

A terrific experience that really can't be beaten. There's really nothing else like this in the city. Our knowledgeable and highly entertaining driver Isaac was fantastic - punctual, enthusiastic, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful car and the open top makes a glamorous and highly efficient way to see the city - especially all those little areas that you may not not make it down to otherwise! The tour took in so much and really was a 'fun' tour. The stops were perfect with terrific views and so lovely to be able to have a coffee and take in the scenery. Everything was incredibly well planned and organized and yet so relaxed - we never felt rushed and were treated like true VIP's - what a welcome change from most cities expensive and tedious tourist bus tours! I'd booked this trip as a surprise for my husband and he was blown away by it. Our driver even arrived with a cupcake he'd bought for my husband's birthday - a terrific gesture that sums up how unique and special this tour is. This is a must do experience for everyone and anyone - groups of friends, families with children or as a fun, romantic date for couples - perfect way to propose! It'd also make a great anniversary or graduation treat - even for those fortunate to live in NYC! We can't wait to come back and do the tour again with our kids.

LOVED THE TOUR

WE HAD A GROUP OF LADIES OF ALL AGES. THE TOUR WITH A CAR AT YOUR DISPOSAL WAS GREAT. LESS WALKING AND WE COVERED ALOT THE CITY. WE SCHEDULE OUR TOUR ON A SUNDAY MORNING AND IT ENDED UP BEING THE FIRST SNOW NEW YORK HAD THIS YEAR. TRUST ME IT WORKED OUT GREAT. OUR GUIDE WAS GREAT. WE EVEN STOP AT A RUSTIC COFFEE SHOP FOR SOME COCO. LOVE THE TOUR AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR TOUR NEXT YEAR OF BROOKLYN. HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET THE SAME TOUR GUIDE (ISSAC). THANKS AGAIN.

Excellent tour

17 in the group, the leader was knowedgeable and pleasant. Started with a knish on lower east side, then to Brooklyn for a Polish nosh, a tour through Hassidic neighborhood, to a chocolate factory, and finished with a Cuban pulled pork sandwich. We received detailed descriptions of the food and the neiborhood histories and backgrounds. The food was amply and varied. Each was a sit down meal . Combined food with sightseeing that you wouldn't see on any other tour. Well worth it. (I even convinced myself that the Cuban sandwich was Kosher!)

There were only the three of us.....husband, wife and sister of husband. Isaac furnished his own car, and we were able to take advantage of some of the off-the-beaten path sights such as Cony Island. Very enjoyable, and we have already referred this activity to people from the West Coast that love New York as much as we do. Needless to say, we did not eat dinner that night with all of the wonderful snacks along the route.

As native New Yorkers living in the suburbs we have not kept up with the chages that have occurred in lower NY. This tour covered the areas in question. Our driver Isaac was accomodating and a good driver. The tour was interesting to us but we believe that out of toners would be dazzled by some of the sights. Thank you

Good guide; ok tour

Our guide was very enthusiastic and anxious to please. He was kind, generous and tried hard to make us feel special, and he shared his own culture quite effectively. The problem was in getting a glimpse of the larger history and culture of Brooklyn from early times until today. For that, we were at a loss. Our guide was unable to supply much context, no doubt because for this tour organization, this isn't a priority. If I didn't already known a little about Brooklyn, I certainly would have come away with a skewed idea of the place. We also needed more walking and less eating. Next time, I'll book with a local heritage organization or other non-profit because the quality of the information will be much better -- though not necessarily the tour guide.

We really enjoyed the tour. We were lucky that our group was small and we got a lot of individual attention. Food was good too.

The tour was more than I expected. Isaac was a great tour guide!!!!! Our only down fall was the weather. I brought my two daughters to New York for the first time and we had a ball. My daughter found your tour on the internet and we booked and we were not sorry. We will book with you again and would definitely want Isaac as our guide!!

Awesome Tour - Highly Recommend

This is the best way to see NYC as far as were concerned. My husband & I spent 4-days in town recently and booked the "red convertible". The tour was just awesome and so was the tour guide Issac. He gave us some interesting historical facts about Lower Manhatten and surrounding area. He accomodated us as we wanted and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. He stopped and gave us breaks and let us take great pictures. He even remembered my birthday and brought along a treat. We could have never seen this much on our own. The ride across Brooklyn Bridge was exciting and everything thing was just the best. Issac was very professional, fun and informative. Hudson River views were great. We ended up in the West Village and had lunch at a neat little cafe. We did not want to leave-- it was a great way to see NYC. I highly recommend it for couples of any age, family or friends.

"Best of Brooklyn" tour well worth it.
Mon, Sep 14  11:00 AM bettynyc Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We spend a week in NYC every year and we have lately been taking some of the specialty "food tours" now available. The Best of Brooklyn tour was the best to date. My wife and I went to the meet-up spot in the Village and were told by Issac, the tour leader, that we were the only signups. Rather than a cancellation, we then got a personal tour with Issac continuously pointing out the dozens of fascinating sights to us as we asked question after question. We stopped for the "world's best knish" at Yonah Kimmel's, fantastic chocolates under the Manhattan Bridge and finished with a Cuban sandwich in Sunset Park.We even got a lesson in the hierarchy of fine scotch from a Hassidic liquor store operator (and the answers to some questions I've wanted to ask about Jewish culture for years). Hearing that we loved Polish food, he headed the Jeep for Greenpoint, pointing out good restaurants as we drove. In sum, we had a lot of fun, Issac was about as good as it gets and this tour made us confident enough to return to Brooklyn on our own several times the rest of the week. (Fabulous Polish food in Greenpoint.) We highly recommend this tour. If you are fortunate to draw Issac as your guide, you will have an informative enjoyable introduction to a number of fascinating neighborhoods, each quite different from Manhattan. Betty & Jeff
