Very Enjoyable Experience
Fri, Feb 29, 08   11:00 AM JimPorter Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
While visiting our daughter, who lives in Brooklyn, we participated in what ended up being a personal tour in our guide's private car. The commentary was lighthearted and informative. The stops for food along the way were a delightful introduction to the ethnic diversity of NYC and Brooklyn in particular.

Great way to get a taste of Brooklyn

There were just 5 of us for the tour )possibly because it was Labour Day) so we had our own personalised tour with Isaac who friendly and knowledgeable. Because our group was small we got a very personalised service and this made it all the more enjoyable. It picked up on time, offered a friendly and personal view of Brooklyn and its varied cultures. The tour was informative, the food tasty and filling and there were some great photo ops and views of Manhattan from across the river. It was a great way to spend half a day in NYC and dropped us back in Manhattan at the end so we could carry on exploring and shopping. All in all great value and I would definitely recommend it.

Great insight in some Brooklyn neighbourhoods
Fri, Feb 15, 08   11:00 AM joachimfleur Male 40-49 International Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My girlfriend and I (it wasn't a date as much as a joint activity) thoroughly enjoyed this tour, which turned out to be a private event, as no-one else had registered. Isaac is a very knowledgeable and down-to-earth guy, who had a lot of interesting things to tell about New York City in general and Brooklyn in particular. The tour proved to be a very good sampler and we will definitely come back to the neighbourhoods we visited for more (in particular Williamsburg and Dumbo). Combining the trip with food is a great way of bringing it all to life and providing some insights into 'normal life' in the areas visited. We'd certainly recommend this tour. Joachim

A tasty and informative journey through New York
Mon, Feb 4, 08   11:00 AM CaptainRob Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour from the first moment to the last. Although we had visited New York City on prior occasions, we had yet to venture into Brooklyn even though it’s only right across the river. After having gone on other Food Tasting Tours in Europe, our expectations were pretty high. Needless to say, we were very pleased. The ethnic diversity and colorful flavors of the city really come alive on this tour. The variety of different foods we got to taste in the various neighborhoods were absolutely delicious and uniquely different. I particularly liked the Cuban sandwich in Sunset Park. At times it felt that we had traveled to another country. Overall, we were glad that we took this tour, as it was well planned out and there was enough food served that lunch was not necessary afterwards. Highly Recommended!!!

Fantastic

There were only the three of us.....husband, wife and sister of husband. Isaac furnished his own car, and we were able to take advantage of some of the off-the-beaten path sights such as Cony Island. Very enjoyable, and we have already referred this activity to people from the West Coast that love New York as much as we do. Needless to say, we did not eat dinner that night with all of the wonderful snacks along the route.

We were vacationing as a family of 5 with some young children in NY for 8 days and included this as part of a well researched intinerary and were very pleased. Our guide and driver were punctual, pleasant , well presented and well informed. The tour was superb and afforded our family the opportunity to fashion a tailor-made ininerary. I would be pleased to recommend this tour to others in a similar position. dave (Ireland)

WE HAD A GROUP OF LADIES OF ALL AGES. THE TOUR WITH A CAR AT YOUR DISPOSAL WAS GREAT. LESS WALKING AND WE COVERED ALOT THE CITY. WE SCHEDULE OUR TOUR ON A SUNDAY MORNING AND IT ENDED UP BEING THE FIRST SNOW NEW YORK HAD THIS YEAR. TRUST ME IT WORKED OUT GREAT. OUR GUIDE WAS GREAT. WE EVEN STOP AT A RUSTIC COFFEE SHOP FOR SOME COCO. LOVE THE TOUR AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR TOUR NEXT YEAR OF BROOKLYN. HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET THE SAME TOUR GUIDE (ISSAC). THANKS AGAIN.

Amazing!

We did a Sunday morning tour with Isaac and had the best time ever! It already started with the call from New York Fun Tours early in the morning to provide some final details such as the name and cell phone number of our driver. When we indicated that we were planning on having breakfast at the Cornelia Street Cafe, they were kind enough to inform us that the cafe would not open until 10, so that we had to find another place for breakfast. At their recommendation we went to Grey's Dog Coffee, which provided a very good start of the day. After breakfast, we met Isaac for our tour. The weather was amazing: blue skies, lots of sun, but a bit chilly (end of November....). A perfect day for cruising New York in a red oldtimer convertible! Isaac is a very experienced tour guide with a great sense of humor! He really knows a lot about the city, its buildings and its people. Two in our group were first time visitors and one was a local, but all of us learned a lot! I would definitely recommend this tour to both tourists and locals. There is no better way to see the city than from the back of an oldimer convertible! Great value for money and an unforgettable experience!

A good choice

If you're a group of first timers in NYC or even if you've been on guided tours of the city before, you'll enjoy this for a full morning or afternoon out. My group did! We were a group of ten friends (aged 38 - 48). Some of us had been to NYC before and some of us had been guided before. Our guide rang us before hand to establish a tailor made itinerary and this worked well. The car, guide and driver were all prompt and well presented. The driver and guide were friendly and helpful. We were in and out of the car quite a lot which suited us but might not suit everyone. We walked a street or two in several neighbourhoods and found some places we loved which we would never have found on our own. All in all, very worthwhile, very informative, very good value for money. It was also great to be picked up at your hotel and dropped back off, in our case, in our new favourite neighbourhood.

Informative and comfortable trip enjoyed by all

Don't be put off by the price - if you have a party of up to 10 people, consider the individual cost and compare it with the cost of the usual bus tours. Throw in your personal guide - and our guide, Isaac, was very helpful and informative - and the luxury and unique thrill of your personal limo, and you have a great way of exploring New York at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Oh-My-Gosh! There were 4 ladies from South Georgia enjoying New York City. This was our first tour. We had the wonderful experience to see New York both during the afternoon and twilight hours in the open-air of a red convertible. It was breath-taking and our guide, Isaac, was even more awesome. Thanks for such a delightful time, great information and caring about over New York experience. We will return and definitely see you again. Your "Old-new, South Georgia Friends"

Unique and super!

We all highly appreciated this tour, our 17 year old son as much as we. The driver was pleasant and very knowledgeable, and showed us interesting sights plus a few "secret" places. The day was sunny but cold and windy, we survived thanks to the blankets supplied, but recommend warm clothing. This was on a Sunday morning, which seemed perfect from a traffic point-of-view. A fortnight after coming back to Geneva, we can say this memory stands out as a highlight of our holidays.

The Way To See New York!
Sun, Oct 21, 07   10:15 AM lorimcgunn Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Isaac is fantastic! A true New Yorker with terrific knowledge and a great tour guide style. The car is a real head-turner too, which is saying something in NYC. This isn't an introductory tour - this is for seeing the sights that everyone else will miss. Imagine your cool cousin lives in NY and offers to take you around in a great car - that is the experience. I would definitely recommend for those not really into large groups or herd mentaility. If you prefer something a little different, take this tour. A convertible makes a huge difference in a city like this. It is the best way to appreciate manhattan and brooklyn for that matter. You see some history, exceptional vantage points and learn lots of factoids along the way. Live a little; it will be one of the highlights of your trip to NYC.

Different Idea to See the City......
Mon, Oct 15, 07   1:15 PM magsshine Male 50-59 Local Couple on a Date
We took the tour and Isaac was very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. The only negative thing I would say is that the classic car should be better maintained as far as the interior (white leather was dirty) tires etc ., to really show off its beauty. A little wax goes a long way....The cake was a very nice treat and we enjoyed the tour.

We enjoyed the entire tour. Isaac was a great tour guide and the driver handled the car in New York traffic with amazing skill. Our guests had a wonderful time!
