Second time around, love it!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed this very much. It was our second time for this activity. It is a great way to try new foods (loved the rabbit risotto and the basil old fashioned drink), and our tour guide/owner is very knowledgeable and super nice. Greenville is a great place for foodies!

Interesting but not impressed

The tour was a nice afternoon outing and the price was reasonable. Liked the guide and his information on the history of Greenville but felt the food experience was lacking and not up to par. Desert at the Lazy Goat was excellent but the rest needs improvement.

If you are local or from out of town this is a must take tour. It's a great way to see what restaurants are in Greenville, plus learn some history of the city. Meeting the Chefs really gives you a greater appreciation for what they do and the amazing food they create. I've taken this tour twice and have enjoyed it both times. The only negative I can say is the lack of drink tastings on my last tour. My first tour there was a specialty drink to choose from at every restaurant, my second one only at 2 of them. Even without the drinks it is well worth the reasonable price that is charged. I highly recommend this tour and would myself do again.

This was an interesting introduction to Greenville and a great activity for my visiting foodie sisters. A real value, too.

Our group really enjoyed the culinary tour. Mr. Nolan was a good tour guide and along with enjoying the five restaurants, we learned quite a bit of the history of those establishments in addition to learning a lot about the city of Greenville. We did get to meet the chefs at each restaurant and also had the opportunity to observe one chef prepare a dish and best of all, we were able to sample it after he prepared it.

We loved it! I felt bad for John as our group was much smaller than I think he was expecting (some people cancelled at the last minute) but he still graciously toured us and we had a great time. All the restaurants seemed genuinely glad we were there and were eager to tell us about our food and their restaurant. I am excited to try another food tour but I am afraid I will be disappointed after our great experience on this one!

Refreshing, Eye Opening Tour!

Our Tour Guide, John, literally took us on a Historic Cuisine Tour. He was so enthusiastic during the Tour of downtown Greenville, and was well versed in it's history. His 'Before, During and Projected Maps' of the revitalization of Downtown Greenville were definitely a plus. The guided tour complimented wonderfully with the Chefs choices of cuisine. Every table at every restaurant was beautifully dressed and beckoned us to sit and enjoy. The variety of foods offered was phenomenal. It was such a wonderful experience, and we were never rushed. The walking from restaurant to restaurant was paced so that everyone (a wide variety of ages) were able to stay together and enjoy each other's comments and presence. My guest and I are already planning to re-visit some of these restaurants that we would have never entered before this tour. I definitely recommend this tour and any others given by John to everyone who wants to have a great culinary experience mixed with local history! The food was Joyful!

The first stop, the slaw with pulled pork and fried green tomato. The sous chef, had a wonderful outgoing character. Her cooking demonstration with an old burned pan did not impress me at all, or encourage me to enjoy the dish. The other stops were all very nice, and excellent cuisine samples. One point, the' tipping the guide' note should be on the ticket. We only saw the tipping advise after we got home on the handout paper, which nobody had time to read walking around in the dark. We surely will recommend the tour.
