Wonderful Day in Beautiful Greenville

The Chef's Tour was fantastic! The food and drinks were the best and worth the price of admission. John's historic information, included in the tour, was very interesting in understanding the area and it's humble beginnings. We plan to visit again in the spirng to take in the sites we missed and look forward to dining in some of the featured restaurants!

Good Value for Your Money

A great opportunity to sample the foods of restaurants in the Table 301 group. Take this tour if you have always wanted to eat at these restaurants but haven't gotten around to it yet! The chefs and wait staffs were friendly and responsive to questions but the floorplans of the restaurants were open and the ambient noise made it difficult to hear what the chefs and tour guide were trying to say. We got good value for the price of the tour, especially if you enjoy sampling alcoholic drinks. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about downtown Greenville and offered a well-researched book that provides more detail about the founding and development of Greenville.

This was a very informative and interesting tour. John is very good at providing tidbits of Greenville and it is really nice to get to talk with the chefs. We will take the tour again.

Great Experience!

My friend and I were very, very pleased with this tour! The food selections were fabulous and I especially was thankful that when a food selection was presented that I could not eat due to a food allergy that a substitiute (delicious!) was quickly brought without any fuss. We greatly enjoyed the presentations by the chefs and retaurant staff members and all on the tour felt comfortable asking questions. Wonderful "insider" information was given! Our tour guide was friendly, efficient and we also enjoyed his commentary on the restaurant buildings and how he tied them in (and other buildings we passed) to the history of Greenville. A vey memorable evening indeed! I know several people who live in Grrenville or go there on business and I am telling them about this tour!

a wonderful afternoon of new experiences

besides spending time with friends i knew, i got to know other people in our 16-person group. hearing the actual chefs speak at each restaurant was something i have never experienced. i was so impressed with their passion, dedication, and creativity. the food and beverages were excellent as expected but i have to say that the food was even better than i'd anticipated. if you have never taken this tour - whether you have lived in Greenville for years or are a relative newcomer - you NEED to take this tour. our tour guide - John Nolan - was well-informed, humorous, and great guide. he was the "glue" that held us together in our culinary journey. competitors of Table 301 - watch out! they KNOW what they are doing and they are doing it consistently and creatively VERY WELL!

A great evening out in Greenville

I had a very enjoyable Tuesday night out in Greenville on the Chefs Table Tour. The Chefs, and Staff for each restaurant were, engaged, knowledgeable and happy. I felt welcome and that they were glad to have us there in their restaurants. The food pairings and beverages all worked very well and the cuisine itself was excellent. the added bonus was our tour guide John, and his historical knowledge of not only the restaurants but of the buildings they were in and how they came to be a part of Greenville's Charm. I look forward to retuning to these restaurants and enjoying other great evenings in the city.
