Great time - great food - would go again!

We brought some out-of-town guests on the culinary tour and had a great time! We ended up going back to one restaurant later and will likely go back to others as well. The chefs were great, the food was outstanding, and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We look forward to bringing more guests to the area on this tour in the future! It was a great way to be introduced to some of the great dining that Greenville has to offer.

Fantastic Tour!

We've been on food tours in Chicago that were not as good as this one. The guide was great, the staff and chefs at each restaurant were very friendly and attentive, and the food and beverages we were given were not only wonderful but far exceeded in value what we paid for the tour. We would have paid much more if we had gone to each establishment individually and ordered the same things. Historical information about the city of Greenville was a nice supplement to the tour. We would take this tour - and others given by this guide - in the future.

Our tour leader, John Nolan, did a fantastic job lining up chefs and sommeliers in the 5 restaurants we visited to tell us about their restaurants. The food served was all very good. In between restaurants, John gave us some history of Greenville. All 13 in our party enjoyed the afternoon.

Fun Evening with Friends and Great Food

The 301 restaurants were wonderful and the chefs gave us plenty of time to explain how they developed into head chefs. The food selections were wonderful with all very different from each other. The weather was also perfect for strolling the few blocks to each restaurant.

I loved it and would also do it again! I look forward to trying a variety of restaurants. I think it is a great idea to do different themes.

Fun and tasty window into a variety of Greenville's top restaurants. Enjoy good food, okay talks by local chefs, and interesting snippets of Greenville history from a friendly, attentive guide (who is also the founder of this enterprise). Great for couples or groups.

After 37 years together, my husband and I look for something different for special occasions. . This restaurant tour was for his birthday. We were very satisfied. We went on a Tuesday night and there were only 3 other guests. Although we had already tried 2 of the restaurants and were familiar with the dishes served, this did not detract from the experience. Meeting the chefs, seeing behind the scenes, learning some Greenville history, made this more than just another "let's go out to eat." The food was all wonderful and John was a great host. At Soby's on the Side we learned about some aspects of catering. At Soby's we tried a cocktail with our entree, and tasted 2 wines in the cellar. At The Lazy Goat we had Sangria made for us at the bar to enjoy with our food, and we had a chat with the very personable chef about goat meat. After a tour of Devereaux, we heard from the chef about their philosophy while sighing over a signature dessert. Walking to the 4 restaurants was pleasant and in fact, very welcome because the food was very ample. We thought the price for the tour was a very good deal. Everyone involved was so friendly and gracious. I have recommended this tour to friends who say they would love to try it or give as a Christmas gift.

This was an interesting introduction to Greenville and a great activity for my visiting foodie sisters. A real value, too.

We very much enjoyed John and his knowledge of Greenville's history, the wonderful people at the restaurants who shared their delicious food, recipes and friendly company with us. The walk was perfectly timed between courses. I will recommend it to all I know! Thanks very much for a terrific afternoon. (By the way, we went to Soby's the very next day for brunch!)

We had a great time on the culinary tour. We had been to all the restaurants before and it was nice seeing them from a different perspective, we can't wait to go back and try them again. The history of the restaurants and the Greenville area was an added bonus. Hope he adds some new tours.
