Bellissimo - Our most luxurious gondola tour!

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and I reserved a Bellissimo tour. The booth was very easy to find, and everyone was helpul and courteous. When we arrived, we were told that our start time had to be pushed back, due to an earlier couple that were wheelchair-bound. Their boarding/unboarding process took much longer than normal, and they did not want to short-change them. Who can complain about that? We got our full hour tour. Steve, the gondolier gave us a brief history of gondolas in general, and theirs in particular, and we were off. The weather was great, and the water in the canal was like glass. Peter, the accordian player kept up a softly played selection of music during the tour. We neglected to bring any wine or champagne, but the sparkling cider provided was fine, and bottles of water were also provided. The strawberries, cheese & crackers, and chocolates were nothing spectacular, but the circumstances made them special. The dozen roses that are part of the package made a HUGE impression! My wife was blown away (it was a surprise), and I would highly recommend this activity for anyone looking for something romantic and unusual.

The tour was absolute amazing. The tour started at 7:00pm so the sun was just starting to set. In my opinion it was the best time to take the ride. All the snacks were very good and the accordion player was very good. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

I started planning my proposal months in advance for my girlfriend. I was looking for unique ideas to propose and stumbled upon Gondola di Venezia when I was researching romantic places in Boston. Now we're from New Jersey so I have taken her to every major hot spot and romantic place in NYC so I felt that proposing there wouldn't carry the spark that I wanted. But I knew that Gondola di Venezia was the one once I saw all the items that came with the Bellissimo package!! I googled ahead of time when sunset would happen so that I can pick the appropriate boat ride. The gondolier and accordian player were great and really set the mood. They did not talk to you during the ride unless you wanted them too. The whole ride was magical but adding the message in a bottle feature was the most important thing I did. My girlfriend always asked me to write her a love letter and this was THE opportunity for me to do so. However, I did not propose in the letter because I felt that it was too cliche. Instead, the message in a bottle gives you the perfect opportunity to prepare the ring and to set the stage for the actual proposal. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out (perfect weather doesn't hurt either). GUYS, this is the proposal that you need to do! It will make your lady feel very special and that's what really matters. Plus, making her friends jealous and making you look great doesn't hurt either....hehe. Thank you Gondola di Venezia for the perfect proposal. It's amazing how many people have not heard of you yet. (and I know people that live in Boston)

I proposed to my longtime girlfriend on the Gondola. Unfortunately, it got cancelled because of a thunderstorm on Saturday. Since we were from out of the country and in Boston only for a brief visit, Steve (the owner of Boston Gondola) was able to reschedule us for the next day on short notice. The whole experience was first class. The Gondola ride was very romantic and the accordian player/singer was truly amazing. I proposed to her in the middle of the charles river and it was truly a lovely experience. We will def be back on our next trip to Boston. Thank you so much for making this a memorable and enjoyable experience!

Perfect setting to get engaged. Gondolier was exceptionally friendly. Absolutely loved the accordian player, who sang so beautifully in Italian. We were greeted with a picnic basket of chocolates, strawberries, crackers and cheese. The message in a bottle was executed perfectly. So happy that I got engaged this way and my fiance will always have a cool story to tell.

I took my girlfriend in which I proposed to. Our tour was at night and was fantastic. It was ag reat deal more romantic at night rather than the day. You could see Boston lit up and it was a great deal more quiet I imagine. I strongly recommend this to anyone. It will be a time we both never forget.

After a long day of walking around Back Bay of Boston, we came at long last to the highlight of our day - the gondola tour on the Charles River. For the two of us - two romantics very much in love who have been through many of life's trials and tribulations in our 14 years together, but particularly in this past year - everything about this gondola tour couldn't have been more perfect. We took the sunset tour so as we slowly glided out into the river, we began to relax and snuggle with just the right amount of music accompanying us by our musician, and just the right amount of discussion when we initiated it with our gondolier. It was an unforgettable, absolutely perfect evening we shall always cherish! Highly recommended!

Four of us were celebrating my birthday and this was a complete surprise that my husband had planned for me. We live in Maine so we came to the area and spent the night. Our friends are from Vt. and they met us at the motel--again a surprise to me. The whole time was just wonderful! The gondolier was just great and the acordian player so sweet. the roses are as fresh looking today (4 days later) as they were when given to me.

I arranged a gondola at sunset on Memorial weekend to propose to my girlfriend. Everything was perfect. Beautiful warm spring evening, a very light wind, some champagne on ice. The accordion music was just right, not too disturbing. They provided a bouquet of roses, some cheese and biscuits, strawberries, and chocolate. As we glided along the water we just relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves. We started in a lagoon parallel to the river then after about 30 minutes were on the Charles itself. I proposed on the river, she said yes, and we're still on a bit of a high. The gondola guys were very professional throughout and I have no reservations about highly recommending it to anyone else. We also got a nice photo, and some beautiful champagne flutes as a keepsake. Enjoy!
