Bellissimo - Our most luxurious gondola tour!

I surprised my wife with a Bellissimo 9pm cruise for our 15th Anniversary. We had a wonderful time and absolutely -zero- stress. I recommend the live music option - once the Gondola moves down the canal and out on the water, the accordian music covers the sounds of the city, yet still allowing you to have intimate conversation. There was even a movie playing at the Hatch Shell, but we did not even hear it once the music and cruise began. A truly wonderful evening we will remember always. I loved the tour. It was the perfect engagement. The people were very knowledgeable and the woman had an amazing voice. It really felt like we were in Italy and of course my fiance said yes.

It was very romantic for I and my Husband of 22 years.we enjoyed it very much.I think that next time were going to try it in the Summertime.To see which Season that we like better.But we didn't receive our liphograph pictue.I didn't want to make a big deal of it.Next time.But I will recommend it to all my friends.And we willbe back.The music was great,Thank you to everyone .You all made our Very special Night .Very Special.See you all next year.Donna and Bruce Cobe 10/18/08

I was having a hard time decide on where or how to engage to my girlfreind while keeping it original and not cliche. I overheard someone mentioning that they have a gondola service in Boston, in which I began to research. The person I set the tour up was great and informed of me of their top secret engagement plan (which worked perfect) and what options we had for a ride. I chose the best ride and I am happy I did. The cheese, crackers, strawberries, chocolates, etc. were a perfect touch. We were early and they accomodated us. I plan to go back for future anniversaries. You will not find a more romantic, original idea in New England

I celebrated my girlfriends 30th birthday, and she loved it. We had the entire river to ourselves - and it was very romantic. Crew was very friendly. I would go back again, great time.

Met all of our expectations. I'm wondering if there is enough appreciation for the gondola tours on the Charles. We've known about it for a long time and finally had the opportunity to try it. Bringing a small piece of Venice to Boston! I wish you guys great longevity and the hope that it will reach the legendary level of the Swann Boats. It is certainly headed in that direction. Thanks!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last week with an evening Bellissimo gondola tour on a flat/calm night after sunset. It was a great experience with cheerful boatman and accordionist/singer with a good variety of music that complemented the evening. An hour is a good length, gets you up into the Charles and out where you can see the lights, and back. It's always amazing how you can find places where it's so quiet, in the middle of the city. I can't compare Bellissimo to the other tour options available, but the surprise (to us) extras were very nice and having the option to stick a bottle that we brought with us on ice was appreciated. Nice time, and highly recommended to others. (If you bring your camera for night shots of city lights, be sure it can be set up to a high ISO setting and just live with whatever digital noise results. Our camera was set at 400 - forgot to double-check before starting - and that wasn't remotely fast enough to avoid motion blur even though it was flat calm and a smooth ride.)

I can't imagine a more romantic evening than dinner in a nice restaurant, followed by a cruise in a gondola with roses, strawberries and chocolate. These folks have thought of every detail and spare no effort to provide you with an unforgettable experience. My lady was reduced to a puddle of joyful tears and has not stopped talking about this to everyone she knows and several she didn't. Gentlemen, it's not a matter of 'if,' it must be a matter of 'when.' If you are within 100 miles of Boston, sign up for this truly magnificent experience. It's easily worth twice the price. After this, I figure I can do no wrong for at least a decade!

I used this opportunity to propose to my girlfriend of four years. Before we arrived I was contacted by an employee who gave me detail ofs the entire gondola ride and best places to propose. They had arranged with the gondalier to stop at a very lovely spot. I was also pleased when I asked the accordian player to video tape the proposal and she did a fantastic job. The gondolier and accordian player offered to be very quiet for us during the trip but being tourists we had many questions to ask and they answered everyone of them. It was quite a memorable trip and I we will do it again every couple years. We went out at nine o'clock in July and I definately recommend going out at either 8:30pm or 9pm because the first 20 minutes is beautiful in the light but once you get out past the bridges the city is amazing in the dark.

This was an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable experience. Our original tour got cancelled 2x due to rain, but they were more than accommodating and when we finally went it was unbelievable - so beautiful and peaceful... we did the tour right at sunset - there were no other boats on the water and the view of the Boston skyline was breathtaking. It was quiet, peaceful and the accordian player was the icing on the cake. On that river at dusk with just a lantern in the front of the boat and the view of the city...It was as if the whole world had stopped for this newly wed couple! ***Want a romantic time with that special someone - HIGHLY recommended!
