Mezza Luna - Back by popular demand!

Loved this treat for our wedding anniversary. Everyone involved was extremely friendly - the family clearly works well together to make this a unique, enjoyable experience for every customer. Recommending it to everyone we know!

This was part 2 of a 3 part date celebrating the 20th anniversary of our first date. Even though you're in the city and there are cars going by, to see the city reflecting in the water as you float along was really romantic. Not quite like being on a gondola IN Venezia, but very close ;) Highly recommend.

The Gondolier was very informative, and the Violinist was quite talented, all creating a lovely evening. The Gondola was lovely and we would recomment this to anyone wishing to have a truely enjoyable evening along the Charles.

My original appointment was canceled due to high winds but I was able to be rescheduled the following night. My girlfriend and I arrived at the specified time. We waited approximately 15 minutes before everything was ready to go. It was still so worth it. She loved the violin music and the bottle found in the water asking her to be my wife. She was so surprised! She had also proposed to me earlier that same day and caught me completely off guard. All in all, it was a beautiful night with incredible support from the staff. They offered to take a picture, offered us a basket of cheese, crackers, and chocolate. They also chilled the wine that I was carrying around in my bag. Thank you to everyone involved for everything and making my night so special!

My partner and I had a great time on our gondola ride. Everything was as specified, and the greeter, gondalier, and musician were all very nice. Charlie, the gondalier, settled us comfortably in the boat and then told us a bit of history about the vehicle and its construction. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful, quiet time on the river, and although we missed the sunset, we think our time was even more special on the dark river, surrounded by city lights on both shores. Really, it was gorgeous. I imagine that during the daytime or dusk, people on the riverbank would be noticing this unusual vehicle and you'd be noticing them and all of the walking, running, skating, and biking activity. We had a much more intimate experience, seeing only a few people on the softly lit walkways and just enjoying the play of light on the waves. We were lucky to have a mild night. At first, I was disappointed not to have the complete "authentic" experience of an accordian player, but our violinist played soulful, evocative pieces that added a lot to our experience. We'd definitely think about doing this again, especially with visiting out-of-town guests. A special note: I bought the tickets in 2011 but could not use them because of a sudden death in the family. The management converted the tickets to a gift certificate that we used this year. I very much appreciated the understanding and consideration of our situation -- says there are real people behind the business. Our first scheduled date in 2012 was cancelled because of bad weather, and we easily rescheduled. Good experience all around. Thank you.

Weather gods permitting, a gondola ride with your SO is a great experience. The crew is very friendly, and the ride itself is smooth and enjoyable. If you are a couple, make sure you BYOB.

I needed the perfect date idea for a girl who loves the water, has been all around the world conducting tours herself, and who knows about ALMOST every tour around... The gondola tour must be Boston's best kept secret, as she was completely surprised. We had a date for dinner in the back bay, after which I took her for a stroll on the esplanade where unbeknownst to her, we were to meet up with the contact for the gondola ride...It was the most romantic date ever, and just a couple days after a full moon, so the big moon just added to the whole experience....and having the accordion player onboard to serenade us really added just the right touch... They will tell you it's good luck to kiss under the bridges...we did that, but we practiced for it alot of the time we were not under the bridges! I later heard that all her girlfriends were envious, and that I received' kudos and stars' for having devised such a romantic date plan!! If you can't tell already, I very enthusiastically recommend the tour! The one I chose was the Mezza Luna.
