I surprised my husband for his 61st birthday and it was such a wonderful, fun and romantic experience. Marco the gondelier was so personable and the Accordianist, Brawnwin was extremely talented. I would recommend this for any occasion!!!

I spent a week in Boston and the gondola ride is and always will be my fondest memory. From the Gondolier, to the scenery, to the basket of goodies that were provided, everything was perfect! It was extremely romantic, at times I felt like I was actually in Venice. This activity far exceeded my expectations! This was worth every penny and I will do it again everytime I return to Boston.

We will go again! We felt like we were in a different world. Very romantic! Add a walk through the Public Garden on your way there or back. A perfect birthday surprise!

It was my husband's Birthday. I wanted to do something different. The gondola ride down the Charles was perfect. We had a lovely young lady playing the accordion - she was great. The gondolier gave us a smooth ride. Definitely recommend.

A perfect opportunity to spend a quiet hour with your significant other enjoying the best scenery in Boston. Ranks as one of the highlights of our 6-month stay in the city. We'd go again in a heartbeat!

We did not get to take our ride the evening of our reservation because of thunderstorms and windy conditions on the Charles. Your operations manager called to cancel. We plan to re-schedule our tour after Labor Day and we look forward to it.

This was one of the best things I've done since moving to Boston in 2004! The staff were very friendly and funny, and they set the mood for a relaxing evening! :)

Most romantic thing to do in Boston

From the moment we arrived the people set a calming very professional tone, introducing themselves to us. They took the time to really explain details about the gondola and where it comes from, which was delightful. Also, the details taken into account, the bouquet of roses, the picnic basket of goodies, and chilled water, including the accordian music playing in the background all added to the romantic atmosphere. The details made it even better the the actual venician experience for our honeymoon three years ago. The entire experience is really the best kept secret in Boston! And defiently worth your money.

A wonderful experience that I would recommend, and already have to anyone. It was our 28th wedding anniversary and as you can guess after so many years it gets hard to find unique things to do to celebrate. This experience was definatly unique and enjoyable experience

A great evening!

When I first heard about this Gondola Tour, I thought it might be too cliche -- especially since we live in downtown Boston and are very picky about "touristy" attractions. But, after reading the brochure, I thought it sounded like it could be a nice surprise for my husband's birthday. Well, it ended up surpassing all of our expectations. A very special and romantic evening - it almost didn't seem like we were in Boston. Our friends met us on the dock with some champagne and we were welcomed aboard by our very nice gondolier. I must say that our accordian player Megan was wonderful - she really made the experience. Her voice is amazing. I was also impressed by the gondola itself. A beautiful boat, with very comfortable seating. I highly recommend this experience!

Fun, Romantic, Touristy and Pretty

Glad we did it. All of the adjectives above. The two people - gondolier and accordion player both enthusiastic and professional. Only wish we had gone into the Charles more than just turning around. We realize that it may be more difficult for the paddler! Yet, the inlet inside the Esplanade doesn't feel like the mighty, beautiful Charles. Also, felt a tiny bit shy of the 50 minutes it was suppose to be. Did not time it, but when we got out it was earlier than 7:50pm. Overall, a fun thing to do.

Taste of Venice in Boston's Back Bay!
Thu, Jul 26, 07   5:00 PM lscauldwell Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
We'd been wanting to do this ever since we'd been to Venice. It was a perfect way to mark our tenth wedding anniversary. Once out on the canal, the intense sun and heat at 5:00pm on a Thursday wasn't so bad. The biggest surprise was how much of Boston we could see from our gondola's vantage point. Runners and bikers and picnickers on the Esplanade; rush-hour cars streaming down Storrow Drive; sailboats and windsurfers on the Charles; geese and some goslings along the banks; and several self-appointed ducks as hungry mascots. Behind it all were the townhouses of Back Bay and hotels and dorms of Cambridge doing an impressive job of standing in for the palazzos of the Grand Canal! Bello!

My husband, two boys (ages 12 and 16) and I really enjoyed the gondola ride. It is a truly breathtaking ride down the Charles River. A little taste of Italy right here in Boston!!
