Gondola di Venezia

We'd been wanting to do this ever since we'd been to Venice. It was a perfect way to mark our tenth wedding anniversary. Once out on the canal, the intense sun and heat at 5:00pm on a Thursday wasn't so bad. The biggest surprise was how much of Boston we could see from our gondola's vantage point. Runners and bikers and picnickers on the Esplanade; rush-hour cars streaming down Storrow Drive; sailboats and windsurfers on the Charles; geese and some goslings along the banks; and several self-appointed ducks as hungry mascots. Behind it all were the townhouses of Back Bay and hotels and dorms of Cambridge doing an impressive job of standing in for the palazzos of the Grand Canal! Bello!

My husband and I went on the Mezza Luna. We absolutely loved it and the atmosphere was great. We can't wait to take our family when they visit us in Boston. We went at sunset and the city looked so beautiful and romantic. Our gondolier was very nice and the accordian player was very good. Thanks for a great memorable trip.

It is very romantic being on the river, pretty much by yourself and without any boat noise! They also provide the "extra" touches, cheese and crackers, ice bucket and glasses if you bring wine or champagne.

the gondola ride was very nice and romantic for the two of us. the music and basket of goodies,help spice up the moment.it was the perfect opertunatey for the two of us to hold each other and have a romantic conversation and just to be together without being bother by the world around us. we both look forward to doing it again at some time in the future.

I would highly recommend taking this tour. It is the most relaxing and most enjoyable tour I have ever done!

It was so romantic, a perfect evening!!! the weather was great, the scenery beautiful. the wine, cheese, chocolate, accordian player all added to the perfect romantic setting, it was fun to sneak a kiss under each bridge!!! I would reccomend it to anyone, and I cant wait to do it a again!!! I have been telling everyone, It was a very memorable experience!!!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the gondola ride. From the history of the gondola we were riding in to the scenary, music and snacks. I would totally recommend this event!

I would ,and have recommended this to all! The gondoliers were wonderful, and helped make our celebration even more special. It was relaxing, romantic and fun al in one. I would do this again without hesitation!!

Although I've lived in Boston 10 years, I've never seen it from this vantage point. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Leisuely passing under all of the bridges was really beautiful. Although the tour does not go too far up the river, it was still a nice way to enjoy an afternoon. The gondolier was very nice and informative. I would definitely recomend this for a romantic event or a special occasion.

Our Gondola trip was part of a birthday celebration for my girlfriend. The entire night was perfect! The staff was wonderful and the view from the river was great. We went at 8:30 which was the perfect time for catch the sunset. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something a little different to do around town.

Perfect for a special date night--relaxing, romantic. Live accordion music and chocolates, cheese & crackers, & strawberries were all nice touches. We went at 9 pm, which I think worked out nicely--beautiful view at night.

birthday surprise uniqe and special . although my daughter & her husband are both from this area & know the charles they were pleasantly surpised by the different ins & outs of the charles. I would highly recommend & use again for a special occasion

Experience as advertised. Initial schedule interrupted by poor predicted weather. Vendor called with 12 hours notice and flexibly re-scheduled. Excellent and relaxed experience, met expectations.

I booked this just one day in advance, hoping to make my fiance's birthday something to remember. I really can't say enough how incredible this experience was, from the professionalism of the gondola team, to the romantic sounds of the accordion music as we drifted peacefully along the Charles River. Although it helped to have a virtually perfect sky-blue day, what really made it perfect was the look on her face when we arrived, and the complete relaxation she experienced during the trip. The hour felt endless, and with the bottle of champagne we picked up at a small local wine shop on Charles Street before we arrived (and placed nicely on ice by the gondola team!), this was a day to remember!
