Gondola di Venezia

Booked this as a special treat on a recent trip to Boston. Managed to get it to concide with sunset to add a little something extra. This was easily the best thing about our trip, besides watching the Yankees beat the Sox at Fenway! From the moment we boarded the gondola, our driver made us feel at ease. We were encouraged to take off our shoes, put our feet up, and relax. There was an unobtrusive accordian player who quietly played classics in the background. They also provided us with a wine bucket to chill a bottle of wine or champagne for our ride. This ride is a private way to enjoy seeing the city from a different perspective without the crowds of the duck boats or ferries. Perhaps a little pricy, but not much more than you would pay in Venice for the same amount of time on the river. Great for a special or romantic occasion.

It was lovely -- the staff were warm and polite and we had a very nice hour. . The basket of refreshments was a little sparse, but we didn't book the tour for the food!

Due to the weather, we were forced to stay in the canal. It would have been great to get a discount voucher for another ride. 50 minutes seemed a bit short...largly because the experience was so enjoyable. Otherwise, inpeccable service and great experience!

We had such a wonderful time on our gondola ride! It was a surprise for my husband for our 10th anniversary, and we both enjoyed it so much. Everyone was lovely to us, and our gondolier, Stefano, was the best. They all made sure that we had a perfect trip. We always try to do something romantic for our anniversary every year, but this was the best one so far. We highly recommend it as a date for any couple.

This was really a special experience that was a grand finale for our trip to Boston. Peaceful and relaxing - it transports you to another world! I totally recommend it and will tell all my friends about it. Great for a birthday present or special occasion or just for a wonderful journey. Barbara

Went with my husband for his birthday on the 11pm Mezza Luna ride. It was so wonderful and we both enjoyed it very much. It went by way too fast. Then I also thought this would make a wonderful wedding gift. You know something different then the usual buy from the registered place and something romantic the couple could enjoy after their honeymoon which normally marks the end of the whole wedding craze. We packaged the gift certificate with a nice bottle of Champagne.

Loved it! Would highly recommend. Music was great. Service was great!

My husband and I loved this! It was so relaxing. We will do this again sometime, but thought we would book two trips in a row, once was not enough. I was hesitant about the accordian music (thought it might be corny), but that made the trip.

We enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to others....it was a very fun thing to do and extremely relaxing.

My sister and I were celebrating our mother's 72nd birthday. My mom, who's typically reserved couldn't stop talking about what a great time she had. Although she was extremely nervous about first stepping onto the boat, by the end of the trip she stepped off the boat with a smile and lovely memories. Our Gondolier was great with pointing out local landmarks and historical facts. Thank you for helping us create a lovely & memorable birthday experience for our mom.

This would be my second time riding the gondola. We weren't able to go on our scheduled day due to thunder storms. However Gondola Tours was accommadating and very willing to reschedule. I can't wait to reschedule I was able to ride the gondola last year (4 people) and it was great. The staff is authentic and it's a real gondola. They provide fruit, cheese and crackers, and a blanket just in case it was cool. We brought our own wine and they were prepared to open it, set it up and provide the glasses. Very romatic even with another couple.

At sunset, this is very romantic. My husband & I were treated very well. Marco and the accordian player were very professional. The music was fabulous. He even played "Smoke on the Water" since it is one of our sons favorites. My favorite was " That's Amour". It sounded just like my grandmother's record I used to listen to as a child. The strawberries, Italian biscuits, drinks, cheese & crackers tasted absolutely wonderful. I will remember the Gondola ride for a lifetime. Our thanks and gratitude to the staff for a wonderful expeirence.

My husband & I celebrated our 13th anniversary with a gondola ride on the Charles River. What a romantic evening! The weather was perfect, the moon was full, the ride was smooth and the music was beautiful. It was so perfect! My only complaint was that it wasn't longer! It was clearly the most romantic thing we did in Boston and I would highly recommend this to anyone!

This was for father's day. It was wonderful...better weather would have made it perfect. We went off on time (4pm) after the attendant explained what we could expect. The gondola was clean and ready. An ice bucket and glasses were provided as well as the cheese and chocolate basket. There were 5 adults so it was a full gondola but we were all comfortable. The ride was nice and slow and we were able to chat along the way......the attendant was there to answer questions but he did not intrude on our conversation. I would recommend it to all my friends....it really was unique and a ride we will all remember!

The basic gondola ride was so great, and it's the perfect ride for a group of friends or especially for a romantic date.
