| This was a fantastic surprise for my woman. Acted as if we were going to spend the evening at the Hatshell drinking a bottle of wine on a perfect night. Once arrived no one was playing of course and acted very disappointed. At that time we were walking up to the gondola booth and acted curious as to what was happening at the location. To her surprise when she saw it said Gondola tours she knew finally what we were doing that evening with the bottle of wine. She was extremely surprised and we both enjoyed the tour thoroughly and sad that it ended after 50min. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants some time alone with their special someone. Staff was kind and courteous and prompt. Thumbs up! | ||||||

| My husband & I celebrated our 13th anniversary with a gondola ride on the Charles River. What a romantic evening! The weather was perfect, the moon was full, the ride was smooth and the music was beautiful. It was so perfect! My only complaint was that it wasn't longer! It was clearly the most romantic thing we did in Boston and I would highly recommend this to anyone! | ||||||

| While vacationing in Boston, my husband and I decided to do some fun things inbetween all the historical site-seeing. In our search, we came across the Gondola Tours which we booked in advance. Let me just say, it was one of the most relaxing and romantic things we've done in a long time. We opted for the sunset ride down the Charles River which was perfect. Highly recommend the Mezza Luna tour where you are serenaded with live accordian music. Both the guide and musician were great!!! Don't forget to take your bottle of wine! | ||||||

| My fiance and I had the best time. It was such a peaceful way to escape from the hustle bustle of the city and be able to sit back and enjoy the view. We were the center of attention on the Charles that evening. Discussions of Italy and the sweet love songs played on the accordion were top notch. We had an evening that will not soon be forgotten. I can still taste the wine and hear music when I think about it. | ||||||

| From the moment we arrived the people set a calming very professional tone, introducing themselves to us. They took the time to really explain details about the gondola and where it comes from, which was delightful. Also, the details taken into account, the bouquet of roses, the picnic basket of goodies, and chilled water, including the accordian music playing in the background all added to the romantic atmosphere. The details made it even better the the actual venician experience for our honeymoon three years ago. The entire experience is really the best kept secret in Boston! And defiently worth your money. | ||||||

| I took my wife out to Boston for a Saturday night and we went ona Gondola ride at 930. it was anamazing time. We were actually in Venice (Nov 2006) and it brought us right back. The Gondolas are right from Venice. The customer service was amazing. Just an all around great time. | ||||||

| LAST SATURDAY, 1 NOV, MY HUSBAND TOOK ME ON ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC RIDES WE HAVE EVER HAD. A ONE HOUR GONDOLA RIDE ON THE CHARLES RIVER (BOSTON) WITH THE STRAINS OF ACCORDIAN MUSIC AND LOVE SONGS. THE FACT IT WAS AT SUNDOWN ONLY ENHANCED THE EXPERIENCE. | This was a surprise anniversary gift for my marriage partner, lover and best friend. The total experience from the moment we arrived until the end of the ride was first class. Joseph, the owner, is a charmer and wonderful storyteller which impressed Carol because she is a - amongst other skills - a professional storyteller. I had booked a full moon, late night ride. However, that night it began to rain intermittenly and was windy. Joseph wasn't comfortable doing the ride and said we can rebook. However, he said, "sit in the gondola, enjoy the wine and cheese so that not all is lost. " That 20 minutes just sitting there in the magnificent boat - "Maria" -was memorable and romantic. We rebooked for August 3st. I've picnicked, walked, biked, boated, photographed and enjoyed concerts, movies and fireworks on the Charles River for 50 years. Yet the gondola ride with Carol was my most memorable experience of all. Another 10PM ride with the accordian player and Gondalier behind us we glided like a whisper up and down the river. The gondalier smoothly navigated so that we could see Cambridge and Boston from numerous angles. Light clouds drifted overhead, the city lights like jewels glistening in the night and reflecting in the river. Soft accordian coming music from behind us - we were in our own world. Tradition is that couples kiss as they pass under a bridge. There are 7 bridges on the ride. We didn't need the bridges. Joseph's energy and love for the gondola is so evident as he explained the history of his business now in its 6th year, the history of the gondola and that he owns two of the six genuine Venetian Gondolas in the Americas. His Maria is a magnificent work of elegant craftmanship and artistry. Everyone needs a gondola tour on the Charles, especially at night with a full moon. Another of Boston's hidden worlds. | Booked this as a special treat on a recent trip to Boston. Managed to get it to concide with sunset to add a little something extra. This was easily the best thing about our trip, besides watching the Yankees beat the Sox at Fenway! From the moment we boarded the gondola, our driver made us feel at ease. We were encouraged to take off our shoes, put our feet up, and relax. There was an unobtrusive accordian player who quietly played classics in the background. They also provided us with a wine bucket to chill a bottle of wine or champagne for our ride. This ride is a private way to enjoy seeing the city from a different perspective without the crowds of the duck boats or ferries. Perhaps a little pricy, but not much more than you would pay in Venice for the same amount of time on the river. Great for a special or romantic occasion. | ||||||

| Although I've lived in Boston 10 years, I've never seen it from this vantage point. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Leisuely passing under all of the bridges was really beautiful. Although the tour does not go too far up the river, it was still a nice way to enjoy an afternoon. The gondolier was very nice and informative. I would definitely recomend this for a romantic event or a special occasion. | ||||||
