We booked our gondola ride for our anniversary. The moment we walked up to the launch location we were greeted with smiles and fantastic attention to all details. Our ride was absolutely amazing in every single aspect, from our gondolier (Joe), to the authentic and beautiful boat, to the tour on the Charles River. Pure perfection and beauty. The Gondola Tour truly made our special day extraordinary.

This was so nice, and relaxing, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Learning about gondolas and gondoliers was unexpected, but very informative. We didn't think there was much about the Charles River we didn't already know (having lived in this area all of our lives), but this well informed gondolier gave us some facts we had never heard before. And this yuong gondolier (24) was sufficiently seasoned to know to speak only when we asked - in other words, he didn't monopolize the time - he let us use the time the way we wanted to. The picnic basket of "goodies" was also a very nice touch, and much appreciated. And it was all topped off with a musical interlude by Andrea Bocelli -Bellissimo!!!

My hubby and I were in Boston on business but like I usually do, I hunted for something special to top the end of our trip off. I searched and found this gondola ride. I booked a week before I left home. I saw that most the times for friday night were already booked so I took what I could get. It was a 9pm time slot and it was awesome!! Joseph was our "guide" and he was professional, friendly and informative. I would recommend this to everyone. We've been married 30 years and this felt like one of our first dates. It was perfect!! Thank you (oh yes, I love my wine glasses - great way to remember this "date")

I found a listing for the Gondola tour last fall + have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to surprise my Husband. This was by far my best surprise to date! Very reminiscent of our first gondola ride a few years back in Venice. Although I had wanted a sunset tour it was already booked. We departed @ 8pm and I now think this was a better time anyway. We left right @ dusk as the city lit up and it was just beautiful. I would highly recommend hiring the accordian player. The music was delightful and unobtrusive. At times we forgot that we were not alone. I can not wait to book our next tour. On a scale of 1 to 10 on the romantic date scale this night rated a 10+. Thanks

This was a gentle ride on the Charles. The breeze was steady, the accordian was soft. The gondolier quietly pointed out some history of the Gondola's presence in Boston. We just sat back and enjoyed the moments, sipping wine, absorbing the landscape and smiling at the all the smiles that eminated from the banks.

Would highly recommend the gondola ride. One of Boston's hidden gems. The staff was nothing but courteous and made sure that we were well taken care of. I was afraid of the experience being a bit tacky, however this was not the case. Plan for a sunset ride and you will not be disappointed.

This Gondola tour activity is a hidden gem of Boston! We have a wonderful, scenic, romantic night and the service could not have been better. Highly recommended! Have been telling everyone about this great activity!

We scheduled the gondola tour as part of our "Italian evening in the city", a surprise for my sister-in laws birthday. Her husband and her visited from out of town and my italian husband and I scheduled a gondola ride at 7pm on Friday. It was a peaceful and serene, to sit in a gondola as you sip champagne and nibble on appetizers, watching a colorful sunset over the MIT building and the river. After the tour, we walked to Toscanos, and continued our :italian birthday celebration"

In its 10th year, Gondalo di Vinezia has been hidden on the banks of the Charles River in Boston, MA by the Hatch Shell/Esplanade. The Gondola's are originally from Venice Italy and sport all the features one would expect of a Gondola. Our Gondalier was Joseph who was very accomodating. He provided us with a bit of history of the Gondola and mentioned that in the 1920's just before the Great Depression, Boston had hoped of a Charles full of Gondola's. However, financial reasons forced this to be squashed. Although only two exist now, it was truly a magical and romantic experience. As with anything, the 45 minute tour seemed too short, but was well worth it. The time seemed to stand still and then come to a crashing hault and left me and my girlfriend of a year speechless and wanting more. They provide you with a welcome basket of cheese and crackers and a few chocolates of which to enjoy. You are allowed to bring soft and hard beverages on the tour and they provide the ice, glasses and bottle openers. They really aim to please and it was the most relaxing time on the Charles. Of course we had sunny skies, no clouds, calm Charles River waters and 70 degree temperatures with no humidity. So, it could not have been better. The Gondolier assists you on board prepares you basket location and stores your bags etc. Then you sit, kick of you shoes and he starts a lightly volumed Italian music ensemble. The music added to the ambience of the evening. Well recommended and Joseph did a fantastic job steering and communicating with us. He was very helpful in terms of the history of the Gondola's and in taking pictures. Definately a must do in Boston for a romantic beginning or end to your day.

We really enjoyed ourselves on the gondola ride. It was a relaxing way to enjoy the Charles River.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and I reserved a Bellissimo tour. The booth was very easy to find, and everyone was helpul and courteous. When we arrived, we were told that our start time had to be pushed back, due to an earlier couple that were wheelchair-bound. Their boarding/unboarding process took much longer than normal, and they did not want to short-change them. Who can complain about that? We got our full hour tour. Steve, the gondolier gave us a brief history of gondolas in general, and theirs in particular, and we were off. The weather was great, and the water in the canal was like glass. Peter, the accordian player kept up a softly played selection of music during the tour. We neglected to bring any wine or champagne, but the sparkling cider provided was fine, and bottles of water were also provided. The strawberries, cheese & crackers, and chocolates were nothing spectacular, but the circumstances made them special. The dozen roses that are part of the package made a HUGE impression! My wife was blown away (it was a surprise), and I would highly recommend this activity for anyone looking for something romantic and unusual.
