| Unfortunately, we had our Goldola ride cancelled again because of suspected bad weather. The first time that they cancelled (our anniversary-- it was going to be a surprise), the weather was actually beautiful. The second time was cloudy. However, it is hard to predict the weather... On a positive note, they did agree to refund my ticket after the second cancellation. I may consider trying this again, but it will not be as nice as it could have been if it was a surprise on our first anniversary. Unfortunately, that chance will never come again. | ||||||

| A great way to celebrate a special day. It was a birthday surprise for my wife and she also thought the Gondola ride was a wonderful idea. We arrived about 15 minutes early. Our accordian player greeted us, chilled our wine, and told us we would be ready to go right on time. After a short intro by our gondolier regarding the history of the gondola, etc. we were off on the Charles. A lot of smiles and picture taking greeted us from the shores as we passed by. We enjoyed the wine, as well as the provided cheese and crackers, strawberries, and chocolates. Our accordian player sang in Italian and played great songs to go along with the ride. We were out on the Charles for 50 minutes, as described, and left very happy. I read alot of reviews before booking. Spending this kind of money, I wanted to be sure that the experience would be worth it. I can safely say that I don't really understand the few negative reviews on this site. The staff of Boston Gondola went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of and we had a wonderful time. No regrets! | ||||||

| The sunset ride on the gondola afforded us a serene break from the city activities which had kept us on the go since our arrival in Boston. The gondelier was very personable, yet unintrusive on our quiet time. The view of the city from the water at dusk was an interesting experience. The gondola ride enhanced a very enjoyable visit to Boston and was a great addition to our vacation. | ||||||

| My husband and I were very pleased with our Mezza Luna experience. We had rescheduled from an evening ride to an eleven p.m. ride. At first we were leary of this change, but after cruising silently through the water with no other boats around, we felt that we had the city to ourselves. I highly recommend riding on the river after dark. We also highly recommend the accordian player-- it was so special to have live music in the boat with us. I'd definitely say spending the extra money for live music is worth it! Finally, everyone I spoke to-- from making the reservations to Charlie and Marco to the accordian player- were very friendly and polite. Overall a truly magical experience! | ||||||

| With champagne chilling on ice, cheese & crackers and a rose for the ladies, we embarked on our ride. With soft music in the background, Marco explained the origin of the boat and how few boats and gondoliers there were outside of Venice. We enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful view of Boston from a different vantage point. Having grown up in the area, it was surprising to find such a wonderful activity in Boston. I highly recommend the tour for anyone wanting a quiet, unusual view of Boston. | ||||||

| I surprised my girlfriend with the Il Bacio gondola ride. It was at sunset on this past Saturday, September 1st. The weather was perfect! The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The ride was so peaceful and relaxing. We shared a bottle of wine and indulged in the treats provided - cheese and crackers and chocolates. The music of Andrea Bocelli was playing on the cd player. So romantic! We had an amazing night and got to experience the beautiful Boston skyline in a whole different way. I recommend this to everyone planning something special for their date nght! | ||||||

| I'd heard about the gondola tours on Chronicle and thought it sounded like fun, so I booked it for our 24th anniversary. We were very fortunate that the weather was spectacular the day of our tour. We found the excursion very relaxing and romantic. It made me feel very special that day. We were very impressed with our gondolier and his knowledge of his craft. We recommended it to several of our friends the next day. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour! We were treated warmly by our gondolier and accordian player and instantly made to feel comfortable for our romanitc and relaxing journey on the Charles. The views of Boston and Cambridge from the water were great. Don't forget the Champage to accompany the picket basket of goodies they provide. Relax, enjoy and let the romance in. | ||||||

| My GF and I have lived in the city for over 2 years together and this gondola ride was a perfect escape from our hectic lifestyle. It was easy to take a deep breath and relax while not even noticing the fact that you are a stones throw from Storrow Drive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested. The only flaw (although small) the wine glasses provided were plastic. | ||||||

| Thinking of celebrating your first wedding anniversary? We were - and did. Took the gondola on a brilliantly sunny, lazy day, on the Charles River, and under the canal-like bridges, next to Back Bay. An accordionist behind us, singing romantic songs, the steady squeaking of the gondolier's pole propelling us forward... Can't think of a better-spent hour! | ||||||

| I suprised my boyfriend and took him to dinner then we bought two bottles of champagne... we walked to the Charles and he had no idea what we were doing. When we got to the place he was so excited and it was the most romantic thing we have done together. The music was fabulous, the night air was warm and clear, and the basket of treats was perfect... we both agreed that it was the best date we ever had. | ||||||
