Weather gods permitting, a gondola ride with your SO is a great experience. The crew is very friendly, and the ride itself is smooth and enjoyable. If you are a couple, make sure you BYOB.

This is probably the most romantic thing to do in Boston. The owner is super nice and the boats are gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things. Bad weather prevented us from going out one night and the owner called the very next morning to offer me alternate dates and times. The trip is nice and peaceful. If duck boats are out, be prepared to be on tourists' home slide shows. They love getting pictures. Ha. Anyway, you just do this for your girl as she will think you are the most romantic guy ever. Perfect way to make up for any mistakes you have ever made.

Outstanding!!!! great way to spend some cherished time with family and friends. Staff was very pleasant and informative. The music was perfect and and done very well. To bad the young lady was on her last day there. She had a wonderful voice and character about her. The same for gondolar. We would do it again at sunset!!! Great job

So relaxing, romantic, and beautiful. I went at 7:30 Sat 8/18 and it was perfect timing to see the sunset and the skyline at night (both beautiful). You don't even feel like you are in the city. Highly recommended, my boyfriend was speechless. I look forward to doing this again some day.

8:30, dusk, beautiful weather, not another sole on the Charles, and the perfect time to be with your wife. It was the conclusion of a special anniversary, dinner at the Taj (Bar facing Public Garden), walk along the esplanade and a surprise gondola ride.

Gondola di Venezia provided an extremely romantic journey on the Charles at sunset, and especially the moonlit return down the Charles Canal, passing under the arched bridges. A wonderful serenade was provided throughout the trip, and our driver and accompanying singer/accordion player were non obtrusive, unless spoken to. The boats are authentic Venetian gondolas, and the picnic snack basket, ice bucket (BYOB), Champaign flutes and dozen roses were the perfect finishing touch for a romantic adventure with that special someone! A little pricey at first blush, but we found it well worth the expense!

I needed the perfect date idea for a girl who loves the water, has been all around the world conducting tours herself, and who knows about ALMOST every tour around... The gondola tour must be Boston's best kept secret, as she was completely surprised. We had a date for dinner in the back bay, after which I took her for a stroll on the esplanade where unbeknownst to her, we were to meet up with the contact for the gondola ride...It was the most romantic date ever, and just a couple days after a full moon, so the big moon just added to the whole experience....and having the accordion player onboard to serenade us really added just the right touch... They will tell you it's good luck to kiss under the bridges...we did that, but we practiced for it alot of the time we were not under the bridges! I later heard that all her girlfriends were envious, and that I received' kudos and stars' for having devised such a romantic date plan!! If you can't tell already, I very enthusiastically recommend the tour! The one I chose was the Mezza Luna.

I was looking for a unique and fun outing for my wife and I for our 5th anniversary ride. I picked Boston Gondolas, and I'm very glad I did. While the ride was pretty expensive (I did opt for the most expensive package), it was well worth the expense. The service and experience were both top notch, and the staff did a great job of making my wife and I feel uniquely special. I enjoyed the included picnic basket of cheese, crackers, strawberries, and chocolates, was happy with the quality of the included rose bouquet, and was pleasantly surprised by the talent of the live accordionist. All told, I really couldn't have been happier with the experience. I think Boston Gondola rides would be a great choice for anyone looking for a uniquely romantic setting, and it's not just for tourists and not just for locals. In fact, most locals don't even know about it. If you're planning on visiting, make sure you book in advance, times are booked up quickly, and I would doubt if they even took walk-up riders. A great experience, five stars.

in a noisy city like Boston, its refreshing to find something as quaint and unexpectedly peaceful as the gondola rides. i took my girlfriend for a surprise date day, she's not a city girl at all but she loves being on water. we both had a wonderful time, the only negative thing to say is that we didnt want it to end! the guides are friendly, the boats are authentic from Venice, it was beautiful. i highly recommend for anyone weather you're visiting the city or a local looking for something different to do instead of the old dinner and a movie date.

On my anniversary of 5 years, I had to keep my lovely girlfriend guessing. The experience on the Gondala was enchanting and truly breathe taking. Both my girlfriend and I were very content with the scenic views on the Charles and more importantly, grateful to our Gondalier's expertise and courtesy. This is by far the most enjoable delitful and romantic you could go on for the money There is nothing like even tqking gondolq in venice i have done it all and beats this ,, its the most enjoyable hour you could spend in a lifetime. We started out 12 years ago and still go every year and we always invite somone who has never heard of Gondola s of boston and it never ceases to amaze me how thye enjoy and want to take someone they know on a ride
