I became interested in the tour due to Gary Suson's integration in Ground Zero. The workshop reflects his close proximity to being in the pit, below ground and interfacing with the different authorities that commanded the activities. The photographs, displays and video footage at the museum gives you a very good insight on what it was like to be there. I was impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

I will start from the purchase of the tickets to the actual tour end. First and foremost, the items orffered are "customer service" ways to improve the total experience. In conclusion, we will overview the musem experience which was exceptional!. Puchase of the tickets was easy and all of the info provided adequate. However, it mentions hands on museum which I encourage you to state "Limited" hands on. Why? When adults and children started to touch they were corrected not to. We felt there may be an issue with age limits since Gary wanted absolute quietness and no movement by the children, correcteing them a few times. The floors were noisy . Perhaps a need to remedy by moving displays since any age person could have been "rocking" in those spaces. Printed internet info was accruateand helpful. However, the isntructions need updating as to the "meet time and guide greeting". Repeatedly, it states be there10 minutes ahead of the tour to meet the guide. You need to explain why? since once there no one greets guests; and ringing the loft bell response was the tour will start exactly at 12 noon; without no other explanation. The tour lasted move than 1 hour but was delayed by not collected our tickets those ten minutes. Since we were the first group there , we repeatedly advised others we did ring the bell and the response was as above. But they felt the need to do also because maybe someone would come. Why? For 4 reasons: 1. The sign on the bulding does not state tours are offered on Mondays and all were concerned there was an error which we wanted clarified. 2. Your sign say s to ring with ring with questions. 3. Buidling location was found easy but "the waiting area was appalling!". The walk and roadside garbage and stagnate water was not appropriate for a business entrance/waiting area. The meat distribution business next door uses "your" sidewalk to load trucks and sort orders. Our standing waiting room meant we had to compete with moving forklifts, pallets stacked or cartons left for pick up, trucks being loaded in front of your building with the same trucks "spraying the stagnate water on the walk amd us" coming and leaving. 4. We realize we were there during the hottest time recently, but please do not continue to give the wrong impression the first 3 mintues a customer comes to you! Once in the building, your loft was ok but small - which explains controlled visitors. There was plenty of time seeing the photos and items displayed and we thank you for that. The videos were moving and the verbal presentations by both gentlemen informative and thought provoking. We certainly commend Gary for the "job" he did in documenting this historial event and feel fortunate the foresight existed for him to do so particularly at a large personal expense. We strongly hope the Museum will expand to a location and size encompassing all of Gary's items and others. We will be back - EXCEPTIONAL! THNX!!

I have been deeply movedby the atmosphere, the involment of the persons who established this museum as a tribute to and a remembrance of all those who perished and suffered. At the same time, this tour is educational,f ull of serenity, and hope for the future. This is a visit I will never forget in my whole life. I recommend this tour 200% to anyone with a sense of humanity and respect.

An intimate tour that is very thought provoking

The location is an apartment in the Meat Packing district. Easy to get to via 14th Street subway. Our tour consisted of 12 people and lasted 2hrs. You are greeted at your appointed time at the entrance by your host. Inside you are seated with your 'tour mate' a hand held device that provides audio commentary for the exhibits and shown a short introductory video. This is supplemented by commentary from your host. You are then free to view the many exhibits and photographs on show. The tour provides a unique insight into the events at ground zero post 9/11 at a very personal level and provides background to many of the human stories, in particular those involving the rescue workers and their families. It is a must for anyone working in the emergency services. I strongly recommend that you visit after you have been to ground zero to understand that scale of the challenge that those brave men and women faced following this terrible event and the fantastic memorial that has been built on their efforts.

Not what I expected

I was expecting a full fledged museum and not a one room museum with pictures that I listen to the commentary for. I think that I would've liked the 9/11 Museum better.

Celebrating my 50th Birthday - 4.8.2013.

I wanted to take back with me and share history of 9/11 with my family in celebrating my 50th Birthday, A forever lasting memory at ground zero museum and at the pools. The workshop was amazing. Very real and graphic to feel and see the emotional lose of families, brothers, sisters, husbands, wife's, friends, and colleges around the world. There are no words to describe or explain how you will feel until you see the pictures' bringing it all together. Mr. Suson' did an outstanding job complying the footage of 9/11 to honor the victims' and families who lost a special gift. I am grateful for the workshop and the opportunity to have been a part of it, even if is was through picture's and history. I will never forget that day 9/11 or my 50th birthday. Sincerely, Valerie Saenz-Partida El Paso, Texas.

A must see in NYC!

A very small museum in wich you really get a good look into everything that happened after 9/11 on ground zero. The way the museum is formed is super, the space is perfectly used! We had 2 hours time at the museum but could have used another 2 hours to really see and hear everything. All 4 of us have the same opinion, everyone traveling to NYC, should go here. A very respectfull and tasteful way to give an inside, WOW! Didn't think it was possible to give this much info in such a small space. Groups are small wich is also a big plus. So, great compliments to Mr Suson for the way he made this museum, the pictures and his spoken words, and to the people who work there. Thanks for this experience, we will never forget!

This place is amazing , we arrived late as we got So lost trying to find the place, we were in a yellow Cab and was very shocked to find even the cab Driver never knew where this place was, but saying That he was very good at making sure we were at The correct place, :-) x was expecting a much bigger Place with signage, but honestly once we were there It was the most educating and warm place of our trip, We all as a group learned things we would never Had a chance to know about the events of 9/11 !! The way the building collapsed and the German Beer cans, well it makes you look at things differently, The shiny black insurance building !!, ( So Shocked), The suffering of the men and women whom gave There time to search and now are suffering With respiratory problems!!. A place that shows You the true events of that day the world changed, The staff were so knowledgeable, and answered All our questions , and never once tried to push you To hurry up or buy there merchandise !!, but the books are A must, x x we did this befor we went to the 9/11 Fountains and it honestly made things fit into place and gave Us a better understanding when we arrived at The fountains ect.... A must must must do x x
