| My husband and I visited this museum on a recent trip to NY with our oldest daughter who is 13. We all found the museum emotionally moving yet respectful of the victims. The museum is one room and only allows a few visitors at a time. This atmosphere provides a solemn experience and even a sense of mourning among visitors. I didn't come away with an overwhelming feeling of sadness as I thought I would have upon leaving. Instead, I felt a sense of paying respect to those who had suffered so much during the attack. I wouldn't recommend taking small children, there is much to touch and their attention spans wouldn't last long. |

| It was nothing like we expected. The "smallness" of the environment only made the overall experience more touching, meaningful, and real. The guide was informative and honest. Although touching some of the reminants just didn't seem right to me, being in such close proximity to everything was surreal, amazing. I would recommend this to anyone visiting NY. |

| The arrangement of stories in the Ground Zero Museum was very interesting without being too emotional and personal. I think the balance between facts and emotions was very fine. |

| Ground Zero Workshop was excellent. Images and narration by photographer create an emotional connection.
If there is another way to purchase tickets than Zerve, I would go that way. The ticket transaction was smooth but I called Zerve to see if they could accomodate rescheduling my appointment at an earlier time so that my family could enjoy some other things while in NYC and they told me that the appointment I wanted was booked.. I later confirmed that was not the case and I did not appreciate being lied to by Zerve. |

| having been a NYer all of my life and being in NYC on 9/11 I was reluctant and at the same time drawn to the museum. I have been to the WTC site many times since 9/11, have many friends and family members who have experienced personal loss and who participated in the search and rescue. It was a pleasure to be able to take each part of the exhibit at one's own pace. Choose to skip over certain parts or spend extra time at others. the size of the exhibit and the restriction of participants gave you an opportunity not often found in a museum and certainly not in one in NYC. I took my son who was 11 at the time of the attack and who has a different perspective, but nonetheless, he too was impressed. While it was an emotional experience, it was not overwhelming. Balanced? Respectful certainly. Memorable and worth the time. |

| We were honored to have Gary Suson as our guide at the museum. The museum itself is intimate in nature, which you appreciate when you start hearing the stories behind each of the photographs. Gary was kind enough to answer and all questions we had about the WTC site, the photographs and the subjects of the photographs. Even with a second group coming in he made it clear we could stay as long as we liked. The museum really makes an emotional impact on you. Long after you have left that impact is felt and colors your day to day activities. It makes me appreciate the country we live in all that much more and reminds me that even after a horrific event like 9/11 instead of destroying us as a nation; it only was cause for us to bond together as a nation. |

| Well worth the money and time if you are in New York City. The museum was not what I expected in a physical sense, it is in a smaller room, and the number of people are limited, so book early to save a spot. The room is surrounded by Suson's photographs of the recovery, each with individual stories or experiences narrated by Gary Suson.
The stories and photographs depicting the aftermath of this disaster were very moving. There is a short video presentation in the beginning and then some hands on exhibits and stories. The rest of the time is spent listening to numerous stories and experiences during the months of the recovery operation. This was very nice because you could go at your own pace and listen to as much as you wanted, as many times as you wanted. I would suggest going to this museum first before heading down to ground zero, the Subway is short walk after the Museum tour and it takes you right to Ground Zero.
A moving experience...NEVER FORGET |

| My sister (age 39) and daughter (age 19) also thought this was the best part of our trip to NYC. The museum is thoughtful and respectful. I felt like the experience seemed therapeutic. Gary is an awesome photographer and narrator. I bought his book and although it is a horrible event, the book is written and put together beautifully. Gary is also a really nice guy. Lou, our tour guide, was fantastic as well. I honestly can say nothing negative about my experience.
I am telling anybody who will listen to me that if they travel to NYC, to definitely check it out! |
