| We were very disappointed with this workshop. This was nothing but a taped showed that aired on natural TV in an apartment. We also had the impression that we were to be taken to Ground Zero site as a part of the tour but was not.
Do not recommend this. May as well have gone to Ground Zero on your own and watch a rerun on the footage of the aftermath of 911. |

| The photos and artifacts make the experience of 911 immediate and fresh, much like seeing the oil rising from the submerged Arizona in Pearl Harbor. Even more compelling, however, are the many photographic records of the heroism shown by rescuers that day. Gary has a true artist's eye for capturing the experiences of those brave men and women and reminds us of the great debt this country owes them. Thank you for preserving this history in such a tasteful manner. |

| I visited the museum with my parents, sister and two daughters, ages 13 and 15. What a touching experience and beautiful tribute to the victims of 9/11. My daughters loved it and we were very fortunate because the day we visited the photographer and founder of the museum, Gary, was there and he shared vision and purpose of the museum. Gary's incredible and moving museum was small in scale but huge in emotional impact. When I thanked Gary for creating this special place... he said ..."No.. it's my priveledge..." That really summed up his approach to this project.... his love for the victims and their memories and his stewardship of the photos and artifacts.....I think he believes this is what he was meant to do... and I believe it too. A really important lesson for my girls was for them to see that one person can make a difference and touch the hearts of so many people... Thank you Gary for your gracious spirit and passionate example. We will never forget 9/11 or you. When in New York.. don't miss this opportunity...visit the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. |

| A wonderful tribute to the memory of the people who died at Ground Zero. Well worth a visit whilst in New York. A small museum which has been organised with great thought and flair and enables you to participate in the audio tour whilst viewing the photographs and artefacts at your own pace.
Take a tissue or two for this one. |

| It was very interesting to be able to see it at your own pace. Loved the smalls groups and the pictures were awesome. Have just moved from Chicago to PA for my husband's
work. Friends from Chicago found the tour on line and we accompanied them. Even the teenagers said it was good and not boring. Have told my husband that he and my boys need to see this next we come it for sightseeing of NY. |

| Our whole family was very moved by the Workshop. The care and compassion that was shown in presenting these stories made for a very moving experience. Our teenagers thought that it was the most interesting, worthwhile visit of our 3 day stay in NYC. |

| My family were in New York for the first time, 2 years after 9/11. We visited Ground Zero then and on subsequent visits, but although deeply moved (and as the rebuild has progressed, encouraged) I have always felt a little voyeuristic, so I wasn't sure about this museum. It was highly recommended, but I was concerned about sensationalism being used to profit from such a profoundly sad historical event.
I needn't have worried. It is a tiny place, but it's stories take around two hours to tell. Essentially it is a chronicle of how the New York Fire Department coped with the aftermath - from the recovery of the victims to the clearing of the site. There are stories and images here that will stay with you forever and the whole thing is very carefully, compassionately and tastefully presented. There is nothing gory or overly dramatic here, it is simply real life, at that time and place, captured on film.
Truly amazing and highly recommended. |
