A very personal connection.

My date and I felt the very real connection to this tragedy. You could almost feel the pain in such a more personal way by the narratives explaining each piece on exhibit. We needed to be there...Television showed you things from afar. Here in the museum, you felt like you could have been there yourself witnessing such heroic efforts up front and personal. Thank you so very much for all the bravery and effort you all have done to make this museum become a reality. I am encouraging my family and friends to encounter this experience as well. It has changed me.

We were slightly concerned about the instructions for arriving at the GZMW tour but it proved to be easy to find and was a fantastic experience which we would definitely recommend. The photographs are extremely moving and it was a bonus that the owner was there the day we visited.

My daughter and I were extremely happy that we were able to see this museum!! It is sad, but also uplifting. It"s very well done. The photos and artifacts really spoke to us. It's very apparent that this exibit was done with feeling and love ------ and an abundance of talent, as well! We also felt very fortunate to be there when the artist was present. Thank you for sharing!!

Breathtaking sights, amazing, first-hand stories from the recovery that otherwise would never be heard! I'm very thankful for the individuals that have dedicated themselves to the legacy of the lives and memories of 911 to help us as society to 'never forget'. A must see in NYC!

Big impact from tiny museum

The photo gallery with the audio description provides emotional, moving commentary at a level & intimacy few will experience. The staff is enthusiastic & very helpful beyond their scope as museum docents. I partnered this museum with a visit to ground zero and it proved to be a somber yet hopeful layer to my NYC visit.

Best Little Museum in NYC

We came here with another couple, both men being firefighters, one who had been down at Ground Zero during the recovery effort. I can't say enough great things about this museum. That one tiny room holds so many pictures and artifacts, and has so many heartfelt stories. The emotion is palpable. If this were in a large space you couldn't get the same kind of experience. We were lucky enough to meet the photographer at the end of our tour, a special treat, and we told him of our one friend's experience. It just so happens that 1 of 5 metal bracelets displayed (worn by surviving family members of those who died on 9/11) had his cousin's name on it. What are the chances of that?? We are definitely recommending this museum to all of our friends and family!
