| Had read about others experiences so that helped set the scene. Not so much a museum but an interactive room where, when you have your head sets on and you have verbal commentaries on around 100 photos/exhibits available to you, you are "on your own" to listen and reflect on the tragedy.Makes you think about the aftermath and the work that went on in the months thereafter. Two hours passed very quickly |

| I had the last tour of the day and was a bit late. That wasn't a problem at all. I just missed the first introduction.
It started for me with an short intro from one of the girls, then a movie about 9/11 a how the founder got the idea of the museum. After the movie a short explanation about the headset and remote and then we could just browse around the museum, listening to the stories behind all the pictures.
It was good, you could walk around at your own pace and listen to only the stories your interested in.
The founder was actually there, just working behind his computer. Don't really know what to think of that...
Overall a good tour with impressive stories. If you take the last tour, you can walk around as long as you like.
p.s. its not near the actual location of ground zero. |

| Whilst a visit to NY should consist of glamour, sky scrapers and Broadway..... you mustn't forget to pay your respects to a huge part of Manhattan's recent history and visit Ground Zero.
To find out a little more about the events and aftermath of 9.11- The Ground Zero Museum Workshop really is a MUST. Fantastic photographs and artefacts from this momentous event help tell the story in a tasteful, respectful and enlightening way.
BEWARE!
Please read the small print on your ticket - this workshop IS NOT near the Ground Zero site itself (something we ommitted to read until the last minute!). |

| The tasteful and sensitive manner in which Gary and his team describe and deal with the aftermath of 911 at Ground Zero is very moving. Even our young children (7 & 9) were so completely captivated by the photographs and artifacts and the stories behind them. One of the most moving experiences I have had. It captures it all! |

| A well organised and appropriate way of honouring those who died in 9/11. It was suitable for our 4 children ages 6 to 16 years |

| My wife and I have just returned from a 5 day trip to New York, in which we tried to do everything! Left the hotel after breakfast every day and stayed out 'til late every night, taking in nearly every main tourist attraction going. The Ground Zero Museum is an absolute must for those visiting NY, very emotional as you would expect but done for the right reasons and in the best taste - all proceeds go towards charities associated with 9/11. It needs to be booked in advance but I can recommend it so much if you get the opportunity to go - you will be amazed by what is there. The museum is based in one room, which may sound bizarre but you will comfortbaly spend 2 hours in this room and still be intrigued by its contents and photos. The founder of the museum was the offical photographer for the FDNY and he was actually there to answer questions as well, it was a truly fascinating experience not to be missed if you're in the Big Apple. |

| We were in New York for 6 days and this was the best experience that we had.
A small museum but extremely interesting. The whole concept was well organised and sensitively done.We were there as a family and my husband and 13 year old daughter felt the same way.The guides were knowledgeable and helpful and what made it even more special was the fact that Gary Suson, the photographer was there too!
A definite must if you are visiting New York. |

| An enormous amount of material is packed into this tiny museum and it is extremely well managed and presented. I did, however, find myself extremely irritated by the constant reference to the photographer and owner of the museum.
The photographs and artifacts were excellent and a chilling reminder, but it would have been a thousand times more powerful if Gary Marlon Suson had been a more silent narrator, instead of an ever-present star. An independent blue pencil through the script would probably help a lot. |

| An unbeliveable opportunity to share in the work of Gary Suson - one can never begin to imagine the feelings and thoughts he must have went through during his work at ground zero. Made even more special by the compassion shown by the tour guides. Don't visit New York without a visit to the Ground Zero museum. |
