| Not ever having seen the "Twin Towers" live and now that GZ is basically a construction sight, we were looking for a tour that would let us see the real ground zero following the days after the terror attacks. This museum did that for us. While the museum is only in a small 1 room studio, it has a powerful presence about it. A presence where you can get an understanding of the event and the days following. This is not a museum about the attacks themselves, but it is about the days and months following. Pictures of family and firefighter brethren searching for friends and love ones. Each picture and artifact display has a story behind it and that story is relayed to you by the artist who took the pictures. There are 100 of these stories. The museum tells the story, not of the deceased but of the living who worked so hard to find those who parrished. A picture of a father helping to carry his deceased fire fighter son from the sight. A clock that stopped at the exact timeof the collapse. Crosses cut from steal beams to give to the families of the deceased are just a few of the items you will see and touch. For anyone looking for some type of closer from this horrendous attack, we highly recommend a visit to the GZ Museum. |

| I went to this tour on the recommendation of a very good friend of mine, Helen, who had found this website while she was browsing the net on New York City tours for our recent visit there. I was intrigued by the photographs that Gary Marlon Suson has taken after being appointed by the FDNY.
Helen & I are deaf and although we had a viewing of a DVD documentary of 9/11th without subtitles, he was very helpful explaining the account of the items he had on display whilst printing two long documents based on accounts of the photographs and items salvaged from the ruins of the Twin Towers in the workshop. It was very informative with overwhelming description too. It has knocked us two back for six!
The Museum Workshop was very well laid out and organised by Gary Marlon Suson.
I would highly recommend that you pay a visit to learn as you will realise the history of the Ground Zero Recovery Period. Heart rendering & emotional stuff too.
Well worth the visit.

| Museum contained many interesting photos and items from 9/11 and the World Trade Centers. Owner of museum was only photographer with 24 hour access to Ground Zero and was able to go anywhere. Many interesting things in the museum that I was unaware of. |

| Having visited the World Trade Centre on my fist visit to New York when I was just 15 I was amazed at it's size and beauty. When years later I sat in my office and heard the news of the terrible events that took place on September 11th my heart went out not only to the people in the towers but to their friends, family & the whole of America.
I have since visited ground zero on my subsequent trips and always feel a connection with what happened there. When I discovered this activity I was apprehensive about what it would be like and if I should attend.
I can say that the time my family and I spent in the museum both educated and humbled us. The pictures portray the human courage, dedication and spirt of all those who tiredsly worked at recovering those lost that day. The artifacts on display are respectful and thought provoking.
I whole heartedly thank those involved with the museum for provding me with the opportunity to learn about the events of that day and beyond and to see how humanity can shine even through the darkest hours.

| You can feel the compassion, you can hear the sounds, you can almost smell the desperation of recovery at Ground Zero that artist, photographer Gary Suson has captured through his lens in this one of a kind collection that he shares with the world. Gary Thank you for your unselfish being to dedicate your life to bringing these images to life and sometimes even closure to some families who were affected by this tragedy during our lifetime. Without your collection the world would never know what it was really like. You were there.
The most touching part of this workshop is listening to the photographer give his testimony. We all want to be somehow connected to that day 9/11 to understand the impact and his words and direction really pull you in.

| By far the best thing I did in NYC, very interesting, very informative explains alot of things on what happened. I hope the best for the muesum and hope it grows be a much bigger place, I lucked out I went in with a group of 6 becuase of a bus of 22 being lost, so me and my girlfriend got to take our time with everything there, I wish I could have stayed longer. It is a must do if you visit NYC, then right afterwards visit Ground Zero. |

| It was a small museum with lots of impressing photo's and artifacts. Your able to hold pieces of the former WTC building. We were lucky that the musuem had only 4 guests in total during our visit and the photographer himself was there. We were able to ask him lots of questions and hear his personal stories. The smallness of the museum is absolute great, because it creates an unforgettable experience. |

| As Gary Suson said in his introduction, don't be fooled by the small size of the venue. It gives a small insight into what the rescue workers had to go through in their efforts. It was very sad to hear the stories of the firefighters searching, often unsucessfully, for their sons and brothers. |

| Words cannot describe the compassion used in putitng this exhibit together. I cannot recommend highly enough that everyone visit. I have been unable to put into words my experience to share with those that have asked. It was extremely powerful and very moving. |

| After having visited Ground Zero to pay our repects on the morning prior to our visit to the Ground Zero Museum Workshop, we weren't too sure what to expect.
Gary Suson presented a respectful and heart rending introduction to his work. For an overseas visitor who experienced 9/11 and the aftermath through a TV set, Gary helps one to begin to understand how terrible the tragedy was and continues to be for those wonderful, caring rescue workers, and others who were bereaved, those who lost friends, loved ones, colleagues and family on that awful day.
The commentary that accompanies the artefacts is very moving and Gary presents a humbling insight into the work that continued in the search for those that died.
Gary's work has not glorified the tragedy but shows it as it was day after day as the search continued.
His work will live on as a testament to those awful months.
We have recommended the Ground Zero Workshop Museum to many people during our short visit and if we hear of any friends or family visiting New York, we will tell them it is a must see experience to help them understand also.
Our hearts went out to New York on that fateful day and now we applaud you.
