An intimate and moving tribute to the fallen victims of 9-11. Our tour was led by the photographer himself, Gary Suson. He provided a very touching first hand commentary of someone who was there for the recovery process. I highly recommend this museum as part of the Ground Zero experience. |

The ground zero museum workshop is in a small room in down town NY. The information given there documents the events of September the 11th, and the month following it. The pictures taken and artefacts on show make this a really moving and interesting experience, and the attention to individual stories amongst the bigger picture, brought home to me the reality of what occurred in the month after the tragic event. The guides are well informed had set the atmosphere well. Whilst finding this experience extremely sad and moving it was also uplifting and sensitively portrayed. Definitely something to do to understand more on one of the biggest events in our lifetimes. |

This tour was one of the best (in fact only) private tour I've ever taken. To be able to see the devastation that this took on that day was mind blowing. You get to see and feel the heartache and pain each rescue worker endoured during the recovery process. It really brings you up close and almost there because you actually get to listen to the audio associated with each piece of artifact and picture in the museum. To be able to actualIy hold atrifacts from that day was very rewarding for me. The pictures, along with audio really pulls at your heart, to have an understanding of the rescue efforts made by all who participated. It will make you feel something in your heart that you will NEVER forget. YOU need to take this tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour is a must on your agenda if you are visiting New York.
Gary Suson was the official photographer at Ground Zero for the Uniformed Firefighter's Association and Uniformed Fire Officer's Association, and it is his pictures which you will see. He also recovered a number of items from the site, which would have otherwise been destroyed.
Emotionally the Workshop Tour is an informative look at the horrific event that shook the world on September 11, 2001. With the photos and items on view from the Ground Zero site - each has a story which you can hear through audio and so gain a personal insight into that day - a day we should never forget. |

Fascinating museum. On arrival you are met by 2 girls who are very friendly and knowledgable. The museum itself is one room and I did think I would be in and out in 10 mins. I was there for 2 hours. You are left to look at each item yourself using your headset and it was very moving. There was an item that we were told not to photograph and to be honest I did not feel comfortable with this object being part of the museum. Apart from that though, an excellent couple of hours and I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone. |

It was so informative to see so many pictures of the recovery process after Sept 11, and to hear the actual audio of many people there was at times an emotional experience. Also being able to see a piece of one of the planes and touch some of the Twin Towers windows really brought the tragedy home. |

material was presented very well. it really brought home to us the anguish & suffering of all the people involved the bravery of the survivors & rescuers in carrying out the very necessary work required to get things back to as normal as possible |
