I took my 11 year-old son and 9 year-old daughter along with my mother-in-law and we all enjoyed it! We were all very moved and left with a true sense of the clean-up at Ground Zero.

This collection of photos, stories, and artifacts is put together so thoughtfully and respectfully. It was definitely an emotionally heavy experience, but we're so glad we took part in this workshop and learned more about the immediate aftermath of 9/11. The 2 young woman conducting the workshop did an excellent job: They were friendly, articulate, and respectful. And of course, the photos and stories were amazing.

i strongly recommend to anyone that goes to new york to take this tour. It is compelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THe tour guides were very good and the photographer was there at the end of the tour. I don't know if this was a one time thing or if he stops in after each tour. But the photos are heartwrenching and each photo is narrarated by the photagraper on a tape. it's a MUST SEE ATTREACTION IN NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great little museum to visit, friendly and well informed people working there. Go and visit this place. Tip: when entering the museum, sit in the front near the TV screen. I sat in the back and sadly was not able to see the video. I wasn't happy about that. The rest that followed however, more than made up for it. Visit this place!

My children and I (Ages: 17 and 12 yrs) visited the Ground Zero Museum and Workshop before visiting Ground Zero. To think that we almost missed out on this fantastic little museum. We did not know that there was a museum for Ground Zero. Once we found out about it, we knew we had to see it first and we were glad we did. A trip to this little known museum will bring you up close and personal to what happened that September morning and what happened during the recovery process. The space is small, but the impact is huge. This Museum is well worth the visit and easy to get to. A must see for Everyone!!

Words fail me

Words fail me ... But images do not. This collection of photographs, housed in a single room and taken by a New York photographer with exclusive and then-secret access to Ground Zero recovery efforts, puts a human face to almost-incomprehensible tragedy. Found objects from the recovery site -- a battered and burned stuffed animal that survived the collapse, a ring of keys to rooms that no longer exist -- haunt viewers long after leaving. Beautiful tribute.

My husband is a firefighter in California. We wanted to honor all those who lost their lives on 9/11 by going to the museum. We were not disappointed. It brought back the feelings we all had that Sept. day-horror, devastation, fear and great great sorrow. We were able to see what the rescuers went through and how wonderfully loving and strong American's are. What those firefighters did was amazing. Ground zero is hallow ground and we are so glad we were able to pay our respects to all those who lost their lives on that day by experiencing what happened through the photo's and stories at the Ground Zero Workshop.

My husband and I didn't expect this tour to be as awesome as it was. Within 2 minutes of the tour starting, I was crying. It was very emotional and touching. It brought us right back to Sept 11. We got choked up a few times. It was done in a very respectable, touching way. We highly recommend this tour to everyone. God Bless America!
