a good experience

It's a small, one room exhibit. But so full of wonderful pictures and artifacts. It made that day come back to you in a different way. It made you experience that day again but this time in a personal way. I walked away feeling that I experienced that tragedy through different eyes; the eyes of the heroes that were part of the rescue operation and the clean up. It was heartwarming, sad and disquieting. It made me long for the spirit that the American people had that day. I pray we come together again.

"A Museum Never to be Forgotten"

This museum is amazing - interesting, informative - however, very emotional. Although we did not know any of the victims or survivors of the 9/11 tragedy personally, the museum touched us so deeply. The photographs are very moving and the narratives enlightening. The photographer did an outstanding job portraying the compassion of the responders. Overall, an outstanding museum!

Sensitive and Worthwhile Way to Consider 9/11

My friend and I chose the Ground Zero Museum Workshop, to be honest, because it was nearby and didn't involve walking on a cold, rainy day. But even besides that, it was an excellent choice. Purchasing the tickets online was confusing and time-consuming -- why need a password for a one-time purchase? -- but otherwise, it all went smoothly. It began with a TV explanation (fortunately, no images of planes hitting buildings!) and a person explaining the various exhibits and artifacts around the room. She pointed out some specific items and then left each of us, with our recorders, to look at each exhibit and hear the information. Each person could select the exhibits or photos he/she wanted to learn more about. And the audio was informative, clear, and meaningful. I definitely recommend this exhibit.

The preserved artifacts from Ground Zero and its periphery of geography and humanity are more than you can imagine on your own. No matter how much you think you remember and feel , this museum makes a tangible cry to really live our lives with more compassion, love for our neighbor , and empathy for those who have to go on in spite of their losses of family member, co-worker, or friend. Seeing the map the Gisler (sp) brothers made to assist in their search for their older brother, the fragment of a gigantic airplane, the small bits of the only glass that remained, and the grim faces in the photos , made me ashamed that I really had put this whole abhorrent event in the back of my mind. thank you for putting this museum together. I will certainly tell my friends to go see it.

I am a retired flight attendant for one of the companies that lost airplanes and employees on 911. This museum gave me a closer understanding of the days and weeks and months after these horrible tragedies.

Having a son for a fireman, made this special for us. Everything was done with such respect and caring. Thank you so much for all the time & effort put into making this a very memorable and heart touching experience. A beautiful tribute to all the innocent people who lost their lives that day.

A great taped introduction from the photographer Gary Marlon Suson sets the scene for a tour laced with feelings of sadness , grief, pride, hope and love. Definitely one to be experienced! Suson states towards the end of his introduction something like this... 9/11 is the result of one culture not un derstanding another. That comment initiated from me a sudden, reflective, perhaps even a disturbing thought... maybe its not 1 culture but 2 cultures not understanding each other. I hope the wonderful photos, thoughts and messages of all the workers and their families can become part of the 9/11 complex when it is finished. I pray that it happens.

Found this online when looking for ideas for trip to NYC with two grown daughters. Had no idea what to expect. We found it very informational and so touching. Being from the midwest it was a little hard to totally connect to the events of 9/11 on that day. This made it very real. Wonderful experience for me and my daughters. Praying God's continued comfort and peace to all the survivors and those that lost loved ones that day.
