Must see when in NYC!

My daughter and I were on our first visit to NYC and this museum was recommended by a friend who had been here already. We were humbled by what we saw. It was surreal and informative. We were able to actually hold pieces of the glass and iron from the WTC. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting NYC, you can't not go to NYC and not see this piece of history!

I was so touched with all the kindness and love of NYC and the other workers from all over. It gives me goosebumps to know that our country is so great and so quick to respond to diseasters even though it puts many lives in danger. I did feel sad about our dogs that gave their lives. Great, loving, kind people and animals!

This is a thoughtful place to view photos and some artifacts from the WTC. This is more a tribute to the fallen and those involved in finding them than anything else. Proceeds go to help the families. These photos are taken with tenderness and some will make you cry. One man's way of taking a terrible situation and using it to help the survivors. See this.

Small but Condensed

I did not expect the museum to be so small. However, as the guide described, the museum is one of the smallest but condensed (I don't quite remember the exact word, something like that sort of meaning). It's a pity that my group members did not understand English very well.

The moving photos in this museum capture the dedication and toil of the people, particularly the Fire Department, searching and clearing the site in the aftermath of the disaster.

ground zero museum & workshop provided a wonderful insight into just what happened that fateful day and how many lives it touched. It highlighted such great acts of bravery, the dedication of the first responders and recovery teams and all done with such great dignity. Would recommend this tour to everyone who visits New York

the aftermath of 9/11

photos and remnants of the digging and hopeful searches for identifiable objects and remains of people in the debris of what was the World Trade Center. The program emphasizes the emotional and physical toll on the lives of the fire department's personnel and search dogs who valiantly risked lives and health to make certain nothing else could be destroyed.

Unique Moving Experience

Don't let the out of the way location, lack of signage and stairway fool you. The intimate museum inside provides a very unique opportunity to learn about the 911 aftermath. The photos and guided auditory tour will give you shivers. Being able to see, touch and hold some of the remaining pieces was important for creating memories.

It was really great!

My Children and myself enjoyed the museum very much, esp. my son. He was born on 9/11/2001. My old aunts liked it, but some stories were a little bit too emotional for them.
