wonderful

i had gone to the world trade center site the day before, and left not really knowing how to feel and thought about what it was going to be the next day (the day of the ground zero workshop). i felt welcomed right away, and really enjoyed the workshop. i felt like i was able to relive the feelings that i had that morning on 9/11, shocked and in disbelief however, i was incredibility inspired by the moving photos and items that were displayed. i really felt connected and i thought the way the workshop was set up was wonderful. i highly recommend this workshop to others.

Very small but good

This museum was very informative. Even though it's such a small room, it's perfect because you get to see everything up close with nobody in your way. You can even take pictures of actual articles and memorabilias. That's something that I really enjoyed and took advantage of. Being in that room, made me realize how lucky I am to be alive and made me more respectful towards those pictures, artifacts and that day. Even being in that room with a small group of people, you can feel the sorrow and the pain from the tragedy that had happened. Overall, I really enjoyed this museum. You don't have to wait in a long line, you can make reservations so it's better that way. I highly reccommend this museum to anyone.

Museum Was Great

What a good reminder for all of us. Very thought through museum. Not overly emotional or heavy but enough so that we don't forget everything that happened. Also very informative and very interesting to see so many items that were really there. Makes it really hit home. A few times I was choked up but it did not bring me down for the rest of the day as I worried it might. I would recommend to everyone.

This museum is small but delivers a very powerful message. It was well presented and the guides were great. Very intimate and you will see and hear things that have not been seen anywhere else. This is a must see.

Extremely Worthwhile!

This was, unexpectedly, the most worthwhile "tour"/museum of my most recent stay in NYC. I am a native who now lives in Florida & wanted my chiildren to be educated on this so important event. My children are 9 & 13 and both were engaged in the photos, artifacts and narratives explaining these things. A very important piece of history is tastefully documented here. Both adults and children were emotionally moved by this display of Ground Zero. Don't miss this!

A Must See

Having had children in the school I teach at lose parents and other relatives, I was so important for me to be there. The pictures captures humanity, at one of our nation's darkest hours, with love, respect, determination, fortitude, and raw emotion. It is as important to visit as the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. It is a place of healing, reverence, and appreciation. Don't miss it.

A powerful presentation

I must admit that when I first saw a one room museum I was somewhat skeptical, but I found the visit to the Ground Zero Museum workshop to be one of the most powerful I have had at any museum in the USA or abroad. Perhaps because I remember so many of the events so clearly, it was so extraordinary. I was also quite impressed with the guides, and their sensitivity in dealing with the issues, and was honored to meet Mr. Suson, and speak to him personally. I feel that one of the most valuable things was the lack of a commercial air about the entire situation. It was simple reporting of a catastrophic event, and bringing it to the daily human level. I have recommended this museum to everyone I speak to, especially New Yorkers who are not even aware it exists.

Very moving and worth the visit
Mon, Aug 10  12:00 PM amandamartin Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Individual
The museum is compassionate to the disastrous events of 911 with a moving and comprehensive display of photo's and many items, such as pieces of a melted computer, office items and a small section of the crashed plane recovered during the clean up process. Viewed in a small group over 2 hours, the display is in one room and after an initial overview, we were left with audio headsets to view the pieces that we wanted to learn more about. It was an appropriate reminder of the tragic events of the day. Hence, it is a hard subject to "enthusiastically recommend" due to the subject matter, however it was worth the visit.

ENRICHING EXPERIENCE
Sun, Aug 9  12:00 PM MAGDALENAS Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
OUR VISIT TO THE GROUND ZERO MUSEUM WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL AND ENRICHING EXPERIENCE. WE WERE SO VERY TOUCHED TO SEE THE PICTURES TAKEN AND THE STORIES BEHING EACH ONE OF THEM. IT MADE US MORE AWARE OF THIS GREAT TRAGEDY BUT MOST OF ALL THAT EVEN THOUGH BULLETS OF HATRED WENT INTO THE TWIN TOWERS WHAT COME OUT OF IT WAS LOVE. HOW THESE HEROES COULD WORK DAY AFTER DAY LOOKING THRU THE RUBBLE UNDER THESE HORRIBLE CONDITIONS WAS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION... THEIR DEDICATION AND DELICACY IN LOOKING NOT EVEN DARING TO SIT DOWN IN THIS HOLY LAND THEY CALLED IT WAS ADMIRABLE. THANK YOU GARY FOR SHARING YOUR BEAUTIFUL TESTIMONY THRU YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS, AND FOR NOT LETTING US FORGET THE LIVES THAT WERE LOST IN THIS TERRIBLE TRAGEDY!!
