The photography and audio was informative and inspiring. We are so glad that this memorial for 9/11 is available for the public. Thank you.

Very well thought out museum, a must see

This museum was so different to any other I have ever visited. It was a small room with pictures and artefacts everywhere. Each picture and artefact had a number and you could listen to the description using your own personal handset. The museum only allows a small group of people in the room at once, which is a great idea, as it could get very emotional listening and looking at everything. It was a very moving experience and I was glad of the cosy nature of the room, I could cry and not bother about being looked at. The pictures and artefacts were incredibly moving and there were small touches of humour every now and again to lift my spirits. Would definately recommend this museum, was very well thought out

I was so moved by the pictures and stories of that horrible day. Of course, I cried, but it did not change the fact that I am glad I went. Reminded me all over again of the sacrifices and true heroes that this tragic day brought forth. Thank you.

Powerful Images and Artifacts

This is a very powerful photo journal of the recovery efforts at Ground Zero. It also includes artifacts from that dreadful day. The setting is intimate yet huge in terms of emotional scale.

Well Done Tribute

We are always looking for something new to do when we visit NYC. Having never actually been down to Ground Zero we thought this museum might be a good idea. Wow! It was so well done, a very moving tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11 but also to the many heroes who survived. We weren't sure what to think when we walked into the TINY museum but we quickly realized it was PACKED with so many stories and so much information that we didn't know. Just a real gem of a museum tucked quietly into a second floor in the meat packing disctrict. We will recommend time and time again.

Following our visit my teenage daughter chose this subject for an oral English presentation as part of her GCSE exam. A touching experience that I would recommend to all.

Very interesting, educational and unusual

A very unusual museum which looks at the events surrounding September 11th. Specifically focuses on the aftermath and search efforts/clear up following the events. Lots of unusual and interesting stories, artefacts and photos. A small, intimate way to explore this as numbers are limited on each tour and it feels a bit like being in someones lounge.

Really nice museum, but expensive for a family.

This is a beautiful little museum that is more of a photographic exhibit more than anything else, but really provides some great insights into the 9-11 recovery effort. However, for a family visiting NY on a limited budget, it is difficult for me to recommend spending $100+ on this experience when there are other, free venues to provide similar (if not quite as poignant) exposure. My family really appreciates the 2 hours we spent here, but as locals, we have a somewhat personal connection to 9-11 and our afternoon spent here was not part of a greater, expensive vacation to NY that included many other admission fees.

I really liked how the emphasis was on the recovery, not the event. The woman who led the "tour" was very professional. The audio tour was nice because you could do as much or as little as you wanted, and in any order you wanted. The only downside was the limited space. It is definitely small, but it didn't hamper the effectiveness at all.
