| Myself and my partner both thought that the ground zero museum was a excellent display of the horror, sorrow and bravery which was displayed on 911. It was displayed in a factual manner but also allowed you to see what actually happened on that faithfull day. I would defenitely go again as it gives you and insight into what actually happened, not just on 911 but also during the aftermath. Its a true insight and not just what the newspapers wish you to see or feel. |

| To say we 'enjoyed' the visit to the Ground Zero Workshop Museum is not really the right word, but we're very pleased we did it. The groups are small which is nice as it is an intensely emotional and quite harrowing tour. It is mainly based on the photographs of the only authorized photographer of Ground Zero during the year following the tragedy of 911. Each photograph comes with a commentary which brings it to life and tells some very personal stories.
There are several boxes of tissues around and they were very much needed. You couldn't fail to be moved by the artifacts and photographs with their accompanying stories. However, amongst the stories of tragedy and death, the experience is strangely uplifting when you see how those events unified a city , you can really feel how indomitable the human spirit is.
After the museum we visited Ground Zero itself and at the moment there is really nothing to see but a perimeter fence around a large building site. That wouldn't have stopped me from visiting the site, but I would recommend a visit to the Workshop Museum aswell. |

| Having been to To NYC in past, and coming back post 9-11, this museum is essential for putting a lot of what happenened since that date, into perspective. The photos and artifacts, coupled with the commentaries are gripping. The hands -on element is particularly emotive. Highly recommended. |

| The Ground Zero Workshop was very moving. It brings back the emotions of 911. The groups that tour the exhibits is small and that make it more enjoyable. I would highly recomend The Ground Zero workshop tour to any Firefighter like myself but also for any American and non-American visiting New York City....Never Forget! |

| We found this activity by chance on the internet and booked tickets before leaving England. It was a very moving and extremely interesting activity and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York. We were rather worried as we had my 16 month old grandson with us but they welcomed him and re-arranged the seating to accommodate him too. |

| What a good reminder for all of us. Very thought through museum. Not overly emotional or heavy but enough so that we don't forget everything that happened. Also very informative and very interesting to see so many items that were really there. Makes it really hit home. A few times I was choked up but it did not bring me down for the rest of the day as I worried it might. I would recommend to everyone. |

| During a weekend visit to New York from Widnes, England we took time to visit the Ground zero workshop museum.
The museum was not well advertised and difficult to locate (in the meat packing district) but proved to be one of the highlights of a very enjoyable trip.
The subject is treated sensitively with respect to the victims and their families.
On display are many photographs of the recovery exercise taken by the official photographer employed by the NYFD plus a number of artifacts found at the disaster site.
The display details the aftermath and recovery avoiding images of the attack itself and in no way glorifies the events.
The details of each picture is described via your individual headset.
The museum is good value for money and I left feeling well informed but a little heavy hearted. |

| This was a pretty moving exhibit, it was tasteful, thoughtful and its really a shame it exists because of the tragic events, it gives an insight into those this event directly affected, we where all affected that day but this lets you see the people and how it affected them without the hype or anger |

| Among a Red Sox-Yankee game (won by the good guys - the Red Sox) at Yankee Stadium; a Broadway Show; Fourth of July Dinner and Fireworks; tour of Ellis Island (educational) - this 2 hour Ground Zero Museum time was the most poignant, meaningful, and emotionally charged part of our weekend. The presentation was superb and the time to absorb the pathos and the heroism and the human dignity portrayed through the photographs and artifacts of the recovery at Ground Zero touched my soul and required many tissues to dry my eyes. It is important to know that the presentation is not overdone at all. It is the photos and artifacts themselves that evoke - at least for me - emotional response.
I am grateful to my wonderful daughter, Stephanie, for recommending this activity. I am - the writer of this review - her Dad, and my name is Shaun. I recommend this visit most highly. |
