This was one of the most powerful presentations I have seen in a long time. Not only because the subject matter evokes emotions, but how the presentation was made, the individual displays, the small venue, the short descriptions of each picture all lent to providing a moving memorial to those who were so closely affected by this tragic event.. Thank you.

As the wife of a serving Firefighter I knew that this would be an emotional experience but also one which was uplifting too. The museum is set out in a way that you are able to learn all about the terrible events of 9/11 almost first hand. It was very moving to see how this awful event unfolded before us all , but filmed and told in such an understanding and sensitive way that makes it an absolutely essential place to experience. The museum itself is set in a fairly small area and is quite intimate so is only open to small parties of around 10 people at a time, so it is advisable to book in advance. It was uplifting because you can also read about how those involved are comming to terms with what happened and how life goes on after it. I would recommend this museum as no matter how far away you were on that date it was an event that touched all of us and it makes us realise how much people give through their work for others without a thought for themselves. The ultimate sacrifice.

A place that helps everyone heal and everyone to never forget. A very moving and very simple and tasteful compilation of the journey of the recovery workers. We were simply blown away by the whole experience.

This museum is thoughfully and respectfully presented in a way that helps us to both understand the horror of the event and to remember the real lives that were lost. We were very, very glad to have gone - and would recommend that you do this before going to ground zero instead of the other way around. It gives a real face to what truly happened there. Thank you to all of those who have created it.

Fascinating and emotional insight into recent history presented in a very professional style which does justice to everyone who worked so hard during those difficult months. There are loads of photographs accomapnied by an audio / visual presentation and many other artifacts. Don't confuse this museum with the one that is located 'on site'- said to also contain personal items recovered from the wreckage. (we didn't visit that museum as we didn't think the idea of putting such items on public show was in good taste). You won't be disappointed with the former museum though - HIGHLY recommended...JG/SG (UK)

I wasn't sure what to expect with the museum but the director who was the only authorized photographer at ground zero told the stories through sound and pictures and really helped me remember the tradgedy as well as the human spirit. The insights provided a powerful testimony of the many sacrifices and heart warming stories from the world trade center. A truly wothwhile part of any visit to NYC

| My husband and I are from MO and haven't had a chance to visit NYC since the tragic September 11 terrorist attacks so when we made our way to down to the Ground Zero site we were disappointed there was only construction going on there although we still said a prayer for all of the lives lost there. We then stumbled upon the Ground Zero Musuem website and hesitantly booked tickets not having any idea what we were going to see. We were overwhelmed with emotion as well as grateful that the memories of that day are not lost completely. The currator has preserved moments in time and stories through pictures that capture the day and months following the tradegy at the same time showing a deep respect for the victim's familes. All proceeds are donated to the benefit of the 911 victims' families and other related charities.
I wouldn't miss it and as a matter of fact, I would like to go back and have the time to inspect and absorb each and every remenant and picture in the museum. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. |

I was very moved by the Ground Zero Museum Workshop and Tour.Having all those pictures and artifacts in such a small room made it seem like I was actually there with Gary. I was lucky enough to meet Gary at the Museum . It really put a face to everything I had seen.

Our family from the Toronto area (2 boys ages 10 and 14 plus parents) spent a week in New York visiting several attractions in the city. When we were flying home we reviewed our trip. It was mutually agreed by all that this was by far the most worthwhile experience. Personally, I have been to New York numerous times over the years but this was my 1st time post 9-11. Your exhibit captured the overall tone, I felt, of how the city has changed. It is more subdued, very deeply effected by 9-11, a city with the wind knocked out of it, and one that is trying to make sense of it all. I feel a great deal more safe in New York now, the people are much easier to approach, helpful and I sensed a enlightened spirituality. The 1st thing I did when i got home was read the passage from the book of Genesis which was found among the rubble, the miracle among the ashes. Thank You for helping raise my understanding of humanity. Cathy Munn
