Emotionales Museum
Thu, Jan 8, 09   1:00 PM danielab Female 20-29 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children

This is the second time that I have been here in a year. I first took my 17-year old son and then my 20-year old daughter. They were both amazed. This exhibit should definitely be a must-see for any visitor to NYC. Anyone who visits will NEVER forget 9/11 and the many victims. A very touching and emotional tribute to everyone that was affected.

I think that your visit to New York would not be complete if you did not go to this museum. It maybe small but wow is it powerful. The room is only the one but the things you will see and the accounts you will listen too really show you how 9/11 should never be forgotton. Be prepared to cry as I did I learnt so much more than you will have ever learned on the TV coverage. What is great that if you think the price is a bit expensive all the money goes to six charities and the Guy who put this all together does not make a penny. Thank god for people like Gary who has put all this together. He is truly a wonderful person. Please go to this you will not be disappointed.

I would recommend this tour, and already have done since I have been home. A lovely little personal museum, which left me feeling very emotionally at the end. Superb pictures and very personal stories to each. Gary himself attended the tour, though we still had a guide, and he was a truly lovely man. I do not live in the USA, but feel this an important museum for any to visit, so that we do not forgot the many great people who helped during this sad time. ( and dogs!) +++

The museum is a small portion of the photographers work. I am sure the museum could be 10x bigger. I was nice to look at an artifact or picture key in the corresponding number on the headset and hear why and what the photographer saw when the picture was taken. The photographer Gary Suson happen to be there the day I attended. He was very open to any conversation.

Really enjoyed our 2 hours at the workshop. The whole session was very well presented and you were able to take your time listening to all the commentry. It was good to get some background before the session started and this was a good ice breaker. I've already recommended the worskhop to friends back here in Edinburgh.

Interesting, factual & respectful

Though not quite as emotion-rendering as some reviewers have claimed, the presentation was interesting and the photos of the recovery were amazing. What a responsibility it must have been for the photographer to follow this operation day to day and witness the destruction, pain & suffering that was caused by 911. I was most touched by the fact that this is a place where the families of the survivors can gain some closure.

As Australians we were somewhat removed from the 'emotional' side of 9/11. Not anymore, this musuem showed us the human face of 9/11 and the actual horror and feeling of helplessness that must of existed at Ground Zero. It also showed us how as human beings we pull together in times of need and how we urge each other on, to keep going no matter how dire the circumstances. I would recommend this tour to people of all ages, our children aged 10 and 15 were both touched and interested by the stories told at this musuem. Having only small groups at the one time also made the experience a more personal one & allowed everyone there the time and space needed to listen to and learn about the happenings at Ground Zero. The 2 guides on the day also showed a great deal of knowledge and compassion when speaking about the events of 9/11. This was a couple of hours well spent and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the happenings of 9/11 and the day that changed America.

After experiencing this, my fiance and I looked at 9-11 with a whole new set of eyes. I would greatly recommend this workshop for anyone who comes to NYC and is looking for a tribute to those that died. We even had the chance to sit down and chat with the owner for a bit. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

A very emotional experience. Am grateful that we were able to attend. Such a small museum, but it really packs a big punch. Would highly recommend to anyone!
