We enjoyed the museum as it was very touching with a personal touch through others' stories. It helped bring the pictures to life as the narration was given by Gary; someone who actually experienced every bit of life in each photo. We appreciate what was given through the museum...thank you.

i had pre-booked my tickets before my holiday and was a little unsure of what to expect, however, it was the most moving part of my trip. it's not glamourised in any way and you feel a small connection with what happened. i cannot reccommend this any higher.

An incredible experience for a visiting friend

I had a friend visiting from Canada who was interested in getting to know the city intimately and learning more about Ground Zero. I had been on this tour myself and knew it is phenomenal, so got him a ticket. He had Carla as his guide and said that she was a great host - very friendly, knowledgeable and put him at ease right away. I think visiting this museum should be something that everyone living in New York or visiting New York should do at least once. It is a memorable experience and extremely well done. Thank you very much for your great work.

This was a true heart rendering experience. Let us never forget the people that laid their lifes, in the pursuit of saving others. There are no words to describe their brave sacrifices and the loved one's they left behind. It was sad to hear stories through the power of captured pictures and the emotions they evoked. This workshop is tastefully created to provide the right atmosphere surrounding the experience.

This is a must see for everyone, the intimate setting really adds to the experience. The photographs are so well done and the narratives tell the stories that needed to be told.

We weren't really sure what to expect. However when we got there we were overwhelmed by what we saw. This is not a large museum but more of an intimate insight of what it was like during the aftermath of 9/11, a photographic journey in to the hearts and minds of those involved. Believe me when I say its a real tear jerker and well worth seeing.....

The presentation was very informative & the attendant very helpful. But be prepared for an emotional gut punch , you may need a few minutes after the presentation to gather yourself. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

THOUGHT PROVOKING

I thought that the workshop was truly thought provoking. I think that any and everybody that sees ground zero, should also attend this workshop. There were many things that I saw that were not in the news when this terrible event occurred. This is our history and everybody should understand this event so that we do not forget it and so that it does not happen again. Thank you for the insight and for all of the truly thought provoking facts of this terrible event that occurred over seven years ago. We will never forget.

A very touching tribute

Gary has assembled an amazing collection of intimate photographs accurately depicting the sacrifices and the suffering of those who helped in the rescue efforts following the collapse of the towers. His project concentrates on the firefighters' and police officers' work. The workshop is very small - could be TEN times the size and still fill it all. I assume the future permanent memorial will be larger and will incorporate memoirs of the civilians who never made it out of the tower, those in the aircrafts, and those at the sites of the other attacks that same day. This tour is worth every penny and every minute of one's time in the city.
