As part of our 18-year-old daughter's high school graduation gift, we decided to have a mom and daughter getaway to New York (we're from California). When planning our trip, I wanted to make sure we scheduled some more meaningful activities other than shopping. Luckily, during our research of things to do in NY, we came across the Ground Zero Museum Tour. We had never heard of it, but was quite impressed with the write-ups and the interview with the man who created this museum. So, I bought tickets and hoped for the best. To call it a "tour" does not do it justice... it's an intimate "experience", where you actually "feel" the emotions that existed during this significant and devastating event in history. Words sometimes cannot fully express the emotions that visuals can. Gary Suson, the sole photographer and owner did an amazing job capturing and sharing the heart and soul of September 11th. We were very fortunate to meet him during our visit and be able to thank him personally for educating us beyond what we saw and read in news coverages. Both my daughter and I agree that this Museum visit was one of the best things we did in NY! We definitely recommend this to anyone who will be visiting NY. |

We were very impressed! The story behind 911 is emotional. Detailed photo's and the fact that you can hold some of the objects make it very special.
Thank you! |

This might be the smallest museum in terms of square footage you've ever been to, but It's the biggest in terms of information and heart!! Amazing photos, information, and assorted items all connected to The World Trade Center attack. We had the good fortune of meeting the photographer / owner of the museum. You can still see how it still affects him. Be prepared to shed a few tears, but don't worry, they have plenty of tissues and chocolate to help you get through it. |

This museum was fabulous. New York offers other amazing tourist hotspot museums like madame tussauds and ripleys, but the ground zero workshop topped it all for me. You get to witness artifacts that you never thought would be shown to the public. The people there are kind and generous, they really treat their guests with respect and gratitude. It is DEFINITELY the biggest small museum in the world.
100% recommend, you would be missing out if you didnt go! |

I stumbled upon this museum and thought it would be really upsetting. But it actually made things more real and refreshed me with the selflessness of those who responded day after day to the site to help famillies find closure. |

The museum was very nice and intimate. I think the small groups was a nice personal touch to really appreciate the essence of the museum and the contents of it. The time alloted was sufficient, yet due to being emotionally overwhelmed I was not able to get through all of the numbered exhibits. Although I would like to have been able to. I wish that after the museum I could go on a web site or be extended some type of temporary pass code good for about 2 weeks, so that I could see and hear more of the exhibits I may have missed. Other than that, It was a beautiful and respectful way of remembering, honoring and reflecting on that very tragic day. I will never forget it. I am glad that the museum is not located near the actual ground zero site, which we visited the very next day. It was hectic and busy there & the full appreciation of the intimacy of the groundzero museum would not be fully absorbed due to the chaos there. |

I have been to this museum workshop earlier in the year. I find it a tourists' jewel and not very publicized. I understand the reasons, however, the concierges at the hotels should know about it.
I did not go on this ticket. our trip was canceled. |

We have been there in Aug. 2009. My kids are 7 and 9 years old.
They got a very good impression of ground zero - not scary for kids.
The team is very friendly and well trained. We will be back!! |

The arrangement of stories in the Ground Zero Museum was very interesting without being too emotional and personal. I think the balance between facts and emotions was very fine. |
