moving and informative but slightly disappointing

Found this collection of photos fascinating and informative and the story that was given by headphones for each picture was extremely moving and I will admit I felt very chocked at times, however, I felt that the room that the exhibition was in was very small and I felt slightly claustraphobic after about 1 1/2 hours. It was fascinating to see remnants on show from that historic day but to be honest when I heard about the other tribute centre based at the Groubd Zero site on which you were taken on a walking tour of the site with a guided tour given by someone who was actually involved on the day sounded far more informative and i really wish I had done that tour instead. However, it was worth doing but did find it rather expensive and the books etc. on sale were very expensive. It certainly made you think though of how awful that day was and how the streets were full of panic and the bravery that people from all walks of life showed that day.

Difficulty in finding the address

There is no clear address stated to Ground Zero museum. The instructions say it is near to Subway station with vague directions. It is far in distance than described. It will be good if a small sketch of map is provided on ticket so that visitors can see the map and come instead of calling continuously the museum people.

Moving, but a bit like a school presentation

I loved the pictures and stories behind the photos and items here. I just wasn't a fan of the set up, it was like hearing someone give an opening statement in a trial having to listen to the 2 college students talk at the beginning of the tour. They moved around the room as they spoke about certain pictures, which was not very comfortable as you had to turn around in your seat (opposite of where the TV was) to see what they were pointing out.

I went with a girlfriend to the museum and was very impressed with the respect and care taken to display items and photographs. The audio descriptions were thorough and fascinating, and I was moved on more than one occasion with the description of certain items and the "behind the scenes" stories in relation to each photograph taken. This little one-room museum was very thought provoking, tastefully put together, and left me with a lasting memory that was heartbreaking, but not horrific. Very well done.

Intimate, Tasteful and Inspiring

I liked the small space and limited numbers. The interactive headsets were easy to use. The fact that it does NOT show footage or photos of the actual tradgedy was healing. The visit was uplifting as well as fascinating. Buy the book so you can NEVER forget and the proceeds go to the 9/11 charities !!

We need to remember

We all need reminders of 9/11. We need to teach our children about that day. This workshop was a great way to remember the tragedy without witnessing the horror of that morning.

I took my mom to the Ground Zero Museum as a birthday present and it was excellent. The museum was very moving and informative. I couldn't stop talking about it when we got home. It truly is "the best little museum in NYC". Our guide was excellent, and everything about the museum was done very well, with sensitivty and compassion for those who lost their lives in the WTC. I was very impressed with the museum and would recommend it highly.

I was very moved by this exhibit. It was tastefully done and very informative. It helps provide closure to all of us on such a sad and painful expierience. I fully recommend this tour. It is definitely worth the price.
