Don't miss viewing this museum when in NYC

The setting and the artifact collection from Ground Zero is amazing. Do this musuem tour early in your stay in NYC to get more appreciation for the city rescue workers. It is so humbling to view what everyone went through on 9/11 and the months following. The photography is wonderful and he is such an amazing person. This tour shouldn't be kept a secret, but shared with everyone.

This is something i would recommend to anyone in New York or who visit's New York. I also recommend seeing this before going to ground zero. I thought this museum/workshop was done very well and handled with sensitivity for family members of victims as well as people who can get emotional. I think about September 11th, 2001 everyday and I learn more over time, I've wanted to get to New York for 7 years and I finally did it this year. Looking forward to returning Thank you, John

The museum is small, but a perfect size for the timeframe. The images and artifacts are very powerful as well as the stories behind them. It was one of the best experiences of our trip to NY and well worth the time and money.

Extremely interesting, with lots of emotions

We very much enjoyed the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. It was a very enriching experience and we recommend it to those who want to learn about what happened on 9/11. Requiem, the book of Gary Suson, is really worth buying. Sometimes, the emotions that come out of the book are even stronger than the ones you experience at the Museum itself. One little downside : The Museum is extremely small and people should be warned in advance of what to expect : a video and explanations about real life events. We had our two small children with us (3 years and 15 months). Despite the fact that they did behave very well given their young age, the requested silence and the small room in which the Museum is set up ( a living room basically), one woman looked at my 15 months daughter who was crawling on the floor without no sympathy whatsoever as though we were disturbing her in her review of the Museum. Very disappointing....

This experience MUST NOT be missed. It was the highlight of my weekend in New York and will stay with me forever. The exhibition is beautifully and sensitively put together and allows you to experience a real intimacy with the situation without it being voyeuristic. The tour guides are gentle and wonderful. The overwhelming spirit of sheer love and loyalty - particularly the Band of Fathers - is both humbling and uplifting. I am from the UK and was visiting New York to meet up with my daughter for the weekend before we both went home. This exhibition was made the more significant for the both of us as I hadn't seen her for more than seven months as she had been travelling. I bought Gary's book for my husband and he and I shall return to New York so that he can experience the exhibition for himself. Thank you.

Thank you for putting together such a touching memorial of this terrible attack. I signed up via the internet (found out about it via web surfing). I took my 14yr old nephew. We were both thankful for the opportunity to learn more of the stories of this time. Although it is not a typical 'feel-good' type of experience...it is one everyone visiting NY should experience. It reminded us of the good that is found in so many others...to be grateful for every breath that we take...every day is a gift from above. My nephew and I learned alot from this visit; we will certainly encourage others to visit. Thank you for your touching tribute. May God bless you for your efforts, and all the families of those lost that day.

The Ground Zero Workshop/Museum is a vital part of the history of what happened on 9/11. It's a small and intimate tribute to those firefighters who not only gave their lives while trying to save people, but to their "brothers and sisters" who worked their hearts out in the lengthy post-collapse recovery efforts. With sound clips from FDNY radios to the crosses and Star of David cut from steel beams to a section of airplane, plus many other items from the tragedy as well as incredible photos, visitors are "up close and personal" with artifacts and memories. This museum offers a tactile experience as well as viewing with only the eyes. There is nothing like it in the world, and it should be on everyone's "short list" of places to visit in New York City.

High-impact, emotional tour!

You cannot visit this museum and walk away the same person. Beautiful, aweful, inspiring - it's easy to run out of adjectives to describe this place. Nobody on our tour walked out of the room with dry eyes. I recommend without any hesitation.
