Interesting but small

I thought it was well done. I expected to be able to touch more objects and the museum was smaller then I thought it would be...but as a whole we liked it...some very interesting facts.

The Ground Zero Workshop Museum may not be the biggest, but it is by far the most moving tribute to 9/11 heroes.

Memorable - God's touch was known

My family enjoyed listening to the stories about the wonderful pictures displayed. It was a privilege to meet the photographer as well and chatting with him was insightful. I was touched by the "cross photo" and the "Genesis 11 chapter from the Bible." It reaffirmed God's presence. He is here to comfort and help us walk through the difficult times. I forgot to explain to my family that this wasn't going to be a regular museum, but a small room of the photographer's collection. It was cozy. I think that added to the remembrance of all the people that perished and all the people that volunteered. When we got back home, I was pleased that my children shared with others about their experience at the museum and the stories they heard. We also went to Disney World, D.C. and Philadelphia, so having them share about the "Ground Zero Museum" as a highlight of our trip was a blessing. My children are 23, 21, 15 & 12. Thank you for sharing the photos and helping others to remember.

Emotional but worth it....

I knew this would be an emotional journey, but this was a great experience in looking deeply at the 9 months that it took to sift through Ground Zero. I loved the narration from the photographer's perspective. Ultimately it made me very proud of our country and how we came together during such a tragedy. We were blessed by a personal visit by the photographer at the end of our session, for our own photo opportunity! This museum and workshop completed our tribute to Ground Zero! Lee Ann

This musuem has perfectly captured the human spirit of all the people involved in the 9/11 recovery period. Before going to the musuem all I could remember was the actual attack but now I will be able to remember the strenght of the human spirit to recover from such an event. As the World Trade Centre site was just a construction site when I visited, I believe this was the best way to honour the victims and their families.

Our family made a last minute decision to visit the Ground Zero Museum Workshop on a recent vacation to New York City. What an incredible experience. The museum workshop is intimate, informative, and touching all in a very respectful way. We came away with a greater understanding of the many people involved in the recovery efforts as well as many of the lost individuals. After seeing the museum workshop we went to Ground Zero and St. Paul's. It was so much more meaningful to visit these places after hearing the stories at the museum workshop. Our children, ages 15 and 18 earned a much greater understanding of the events surrounding 9/11 than they previously had. We also had the wonderful experience of meeting the founder of the museum as well. A must stop for anyone visiting the area.

You must go!

I had a lot of trouble taking my 4 teens and husband, but finally got it. It's worth it! It will give you a new "inside" view of what happened on 9/11. You MUST make a reservation, no other way to get in, and you MUST be on time. Even if they let you in, you won't "understand" what's going on in the first presentation. At the end my five guys were very quiet, and that tells me a lot!

Very Informative!

When I first walked in, I thought I was in the wrong place. It's small and unimpressive looking. Once the guide started to explain why the space was so small, it all made sense. I was probably one of the best tours I've been on. It was incredibly informative and very personal. I thought they did an amazing job representing the thousands of lives affected Great Job!
