It was great to see a side of the 9/11 tragedy that most of the world hasn't been exposed to. It provides a perspecitve on what the victims, families and first responders really went through. It really puts into perspective how precious our lives really are and to live our lives to the fullest. |

although I found this a fascinating insight from a different perspective, I much preferred the Tribute WTC Visitor Center. The person to person approach was much more heartfelt and therefore much more moving. |

You enter this museum located in the Meat Packing District and it is so small you think how could you be there for more than 15 minutes. Then you view the 2 videos and look around the room and stay for 2 1/2 hours. When you enter the musem you receive headphones and each picture/object/artifact has a number next to it. Then you hear the story of each piece that has been carefully selected and displayed. The photos put a face on each person who died, each family that was effected, the enormous effort that was made to recover everything with dignity (be it a person or an ordinary object) and the toll it took on the lives of every person (and dog) involved in the recovery effort. We were lucky enough to meet Gary (the photographer) and he told us his story and how the museum came to be and how he was selected to be the only photographer allowed into the site by the NYC Fire Dept. I recommend this museum for children as well as adults. 9/11 was a day that changed the way we look at America and we should honor the memory of those who were murdered and those who saved them. Please visit this museum - the proceeds benefit the families of the victims and other charities. |

The museum itself was very interesting, full of pictures and artifacts from the recovery efforts at Ground Zero. I enjoyed listening to the accounts by Suzon that accompanied the exhibit, and I learned a number of informative facts. I found the exhibit to be tasteful without being too graphic, and diverse in the information it presented. The staff was also quite personable and eager to be helpful. |

Unique look at 9/11 through the official photographers eyes. Stories, photos, exhibits and recordings are outstanding. Well worth the time and nicely complements a visit to St. Paul's Church and Ground Zero Memorial. |

Small location but extremely large in content. We feel it was meant for us to be there because an extra tour time was added for the day and the photographer was in attendance unexpectedly because he is normally not there during tours. Going through that tour was a learning experience and very emotional and I would recommend it to ANYONE! |

This was an experience I won't soon forget. It's a very intimate setting with a limited number of guests. The truly remarkable thing is everything here has been put on display by the individual that was actually there, he was there as honorary battalion chief and he is sharing his experience with the world. The pictures, videos and recordings put you at the scene and are very moving. The items that are on display are obviously rare to see and make this experience even more worthwhile. You have 2 hours to move at your own pace with a hand held audio guide that gives you information on the displays. I recommend that everyone see this, I honestly feel it is a must see. |

a great experience - actually much better than I expected - I really liked the fact that the staff and the museum wasn't intended to make people sad and cry - eventhough that would have been very easy - all in all it was a positive experience that made me reflect about 9/11 in a new way. |

I am a firefighter and I feel this display of photos, artifacts and stories was done in a very tasteful and heartfelt manner. It touched my heart. It keeps those who lost their lives on that horrible day ... very much alive. Awesome collection. |

We enjoyed the visit, the tour guides were excellent.
We were surprised at the size of the museum when we entered, but were amazed at how much information was contained in the 1 room, and we were moved by many of the stories behind the photos and artifacts that were present.
Worth a visit if you are in New York. |
