This small but initmate museum collection is vital to the memory of the events that occured on 9th September. The horrific encounters, the enormity of the rescue and emotional and physical toll on human life is provided from a sensitive yet true perspective. The hardships endured by these rescuers and of course the photograher can not be understood, but this photograhpic display and the artifacts provided us with some sense of the daily hardships, the commitment of the rescuers, the long term effects on so many peoples lives and so many countries around the world. The clock, the glasses, the brothers and even the rescue dogs all tell their own sad stories. Thank you for this thoughtful display - the recovery from this day will continue to be a long hard road. Let us not forget but let us forgive and live in harmony with each other.

Our group included husband and myself, daughter(22) and son(14). We loved the entire Workshop, and especially appreciated the small and intimate setting the tour was given in. The highlight of the tour was Gary himself who happened to be there that day. His personal connection to the events and the photos taken made a permanent impression on all of us. Thank you, Gary.

| When we bought the tickets to the museum, I didn't know what to expect. Then when I saw all the pictures and artifacts from the recovery, I was so sad to see closer up what those people went through on the day of the attack on the towers and the recovery efforts afterwards.
I would definitely recommend this to everyone. It's a must see so that we will never forget what happened on that day.
I thought our tour guide Lauren was great and knowledeable. We actually got to meet Gary Marlon Suson in person. That was very special since he said he's not usually there to give tours anymore.
Thank you for the hospitality and for the opportunity to share your memories. We will never forget 9/11.
Sincerely,
Gary and Michelle Robbins |

We thought the artifacts were interesting but somewaht repetitive. Were this part of a larger exhibit it would be excellent. However as a standalone we didn't think it was worth the admission fee.

A very moving experience. Definitely worth the time. The museum was very well displayed by using recorders that described the picture/item recovered from the site. You could stay as long as you wanted. We stayed 2 hours listening to descriptions. The girl, Lauren? was very good describing certain events and relating to us some of what went on that day. and Mr. Suson was on site to answer questions. He is a magnificent photographer who captured the despair and tragedy of so many people on that fateful day.

Thank you for putting together the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. It is impressive and respectfully done. All in our group agree that of the many places and things we saw on our first trip to New York City, our time spent at Ground Zero Museum Workshop was by far what is leaving the biggest lasting impression on us. It is set up in a way that allows visitors to learn as a group about it's purpose and history, but then go on individual journeys through the ground zero recovery process by means of audio tours. It allows for private reflecting about this life-changing event. The images and artifacts are very powerful. We were pleasantly surprised to meet Gary Suson during our visit. Have already recommended Ground Zero Museum Workshop to a friend heading to NY this week!

You enter this museum located in the Meat Packing District and it is so small you think how could you be there for more than 15 minutes. Then you view the 2 videos and look around the room and stay for 2 1/2 hours. When you enter the musem you receive headphones and each picture/object/artifact has a number next to it. Then you hear the story of each piece that has been carefully selected and displayed. The photos put a face on each person who died, each family that was effected, the enormous effort that was made to recover everything with dignity (be it a person or an ordinary object) and the toll it took on the lives of every person (and dog) involved in the recovery effort. We were lucky enough to meet Gary (the photographer) and he told us his story and how the museum came to be and how he was selected to be the only photographer allowed into the site by the NYC Fire Dept. I recommend this museum for children as well as adults. 9/11 was a day that changed the way we look at America and we should honor the memory of those who were murdered and those who saved them. Please visit this museum - the proceeds benefit the families of the victims and other charities.

This workshop museum was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. When I made the reservation I did so because I wanted to learn more about what the Ground Zero workers and families experienced, and had a feeling I would walk away with even a greater appreciation for their services. I was not disappointed in any way. I was also prepared for a strong negative emotional experience due to the nature of the presentation, but this workshop is very tastefully done and it was uplifting. It allows for a more personal experience, unlike a typical museum. You also see things that have not been presented through the press. I didn't think I could have a greater appreciation for the firemen, police, community volunteers, etc., but after visiting this museum I do. I feel this is a "must do" if you live in or visit NYC. They don't allow many people in at one time, which makes the visit even more special. Thank you Gary Marlon Suson for putting together such a touching experience so that we will never forget what happened that day. Please know that we all appreciate what you had to go through to bring us this wonderful presentation. One thing - make sure you have good directions and make reservations in advance. We almost thought we were on the wrong street in Chelsea. We even asked merchants around it and they didn't know which direction to send us in. Have the address handy when you get to the street. We went to La Bergamote (a French pastry shop around the corner that was recommended) before hand and I highly recommend that. We then walked south to Greenwich Village, SoHo, etc. for the remainder of the day.

A very moving tribute to the recovery efforts of 9/11. The pictures and the stories capture the rollercoaster and raw emotions felt, not only by those close to the victims, but also by those of us who witnessed it on TV. Gary's pictures and stories bring you -- hope, pride, pain and sadness, and even though you walk out teary-eyed, you are so happy you spent 2 hours there. I felt privileged to have been able to see this exhibit.
