This museum has been put together with a tremendous amount of thought and respect towards the victims of 9/11and their families. Very, very interesting and being able to hold some of the artifacts was an honor. We had the privilege of meeting Gary in person as he was at the museum on the day of our visit. He is a wonderful, caring person and it was a real treat to be able to talk with him and listen to his stories. I will visit the Ground Zero Museum Workshop again on my next visit. It's a must see! A Moving and Powerful Tribute...

Gary has assembled a wonderful tribute to the thousands of victims & heroes of September 11th. We appreciated that the museum didn't focus on the terrorist attacks. You will see no footage of the planes crashing into the World Trade Center. The whole experience was very moving, powerful & something every American needs to experience. Through headsets given to each person as they enter the museum we listened to 2 moving videos played on a large screen television. We were then on our own with the use of the headsets to listen to the personal stories behind each individual photo & artifact in the room. We both felt this made the entire experience more intimate as we were able to go at our own pace. We were privileged to meet Gary Suson. It was difficult to convey properly (in words) as to just how remarkable we both felt his work was. We highly recommend visiting to learn the history of the Ground Zero recovery period. You cannot help but feel very connected to the events which unfolded on September 11, 2001. This museum will make you think, cry & be something which leaves a lasting impression. From the museum, we recommend going directly to the Ground Zero sight. "Never Forget!" Stacy & Eric - Westminster, MD

An experience to remember

This was a great way to understand what happened on the 'pile'. Mr. Sussans views through his camera were fantastic. This might not be for everyone due to the emotional aspects of what happened. It was great to meet Mr. Sussans and hear from him first hand.

Extremely well done. My 14-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter were rivetted by it.

The museum and video presentations were done tastefully and respectfully. The photos evoked the emotions of Ground Zero rescuers in a way that words could not. It gave me a new perspective on the impact of 9/11. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

The GZ Museum Workshop was an awesome experience. It was a very unique way to remember and pay tribute to the heros of 9/11. The interactive experience was unlike most other museums. We could take as much time as we liked listening to the stories and asking questions of the artist/photographer, Gary. It was an intimate setting which made it a very personal experience. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. We will never forget the events of that day in history.

This tour is very nice because you get to go at your own pace. You get an overall introduction, but then are able to explore the pictures that you want to learn more about and in the order that you wish. We were able to meet the photographer and that really did provide a strong connection and insight into what he was thinking when he shot some of the pictures. It was also nice that the environment was intimate. Our children were able to "listen" at their own pace too and perhaps grasp more than we anticipated. We are glad we found this place and experienced it during our stay in the city. It truly was a highlight. Virginia tourists

If anyone professes to be a lover of New York, then you must see this. I have been traveling to New York as a tourist for the last 25 years. This museum is by far the most meaningful that I have ever visited. It is a bittersweet pictoral storytelling of the fall of the World Trade Center Twin Towers. Mr. Suson certainly captured the heart of all those who lovingly contributed to the recovery, as well as those who sadly were thrown into the chaos, not by choice. The love that poured through all these efforts is very evident. It was a special privalege to meet to Mr. Suson. We were able to ask him questions about his past, and what lead up to the World Trade center tragedy for him. We were able to ask how he is now and and how this whole experience has changed his life to date. Finally we asked him about his future, and what lies ahead for him. The entire workshop was meaningful to me as a person and as an American. Please go see this!! It will make you proud to be an American. We must never forget !!!
