This little gem of a museum is definitely a work of "heart" as well as art. The pictures were great & seeing the artefacts brought back memories of that fateful day. "We will not forget" - thank you to Gary for creating this memorial. |

I visited the museum on a recent trip to NY, with my friends and family. I found this link online, and we all decided to purchase tickets. It was one of the highlights of our trip. It was a moving experience, and I learned a lot about that fateful day. We lucked out and the photographer himself, Gary Suson, was there, and what a treat! He was great. He allowed pictures, signed books, and shared his personal story. It was awesome, and something I will never forget. I recommend this to everyone!! |

The mystery surrounding the location of the musuem made me suspicious...like we had been ripped off.
From the guy who greeted us at the door till the end of our "tour" was an unforgetable experience. The initimate setting was the perfect showcase for such ...personal, emotion scratching photographs. |

It may be small in size but it does not lack in emotion. The self-guided tour with Gary's narrative is excellent. It really puts the pictures in the museum into context for the viewer. At first sight, I was not impressed as I walked into a room the size of my living room with pictures on the wall. But every picture I walked up to and every narrative I listened to, it completely changed my mind. I would highly recommend this museum to anybody who wants to know more about 9/11 and the biggest act of terrorism on U.S. soil. There was so much about this tragedy and how the FDNY and the NYPD reacted that I didn't even know about until I went through this museum workshop. This is a must-see for anyone in the military also. |

You cannot visit New York without taking the time to see this absolutely moving tribute to the 9/11 victims. Its brilliant photography that serves its purpose (which is to help the many families and those around the globe never forget the atrocity that was carried out that day). It really brings home just how many people this vile act affected. Gary Suson is a brave and humble man. I would highly recommend it. |

This experience is highly recommended by our group. It is so interesting that it just pulls you right into every picture. We were there for over 2 hours and it seemed like only minutes. There were over 20 others in the room that were invisible because you are so into what is in front of you that you don't even know they are there. |

This small space packs a big message about hope, dignity and love. The photographs and associated stories made me appreciate the horror of the 9/11 attack in a way that previous newsreels had not been able to convey . This museum must be a great comfort for the relatives and friends of those people who died, especially for the majority of relatives, because nothing remained of their loved-one to bury and to mourn. It is such a shame that the US government does not financially support those firemen and policemen who have become ill (and died) from inhalation of the toxic gases and dust. Part of the proceeds of this museum are given to the firemen and policemen who dug, day and night, for many months. So, go and visit...you will not be disappointed. |

My wife and I visited the museum while on trip to New York, not knowing what to expect. When you first enter the room and realize it 's all in one room, you figure it's not going to be that great. Were we wrong! There's an amazing amount of artifacts and photographs never before seen. The raw emotion that everthing brings out in you is surprising. The self-guided tour is great. You can tour the museum in any order you like. Everything is numbered and all you do is punch in the number and you hear a wonderful explanation of the piece by the photographer, Gary Suson. We were so lucky he was there that day to lead the tour and autograph souvenirs. He was happy to answer any and all questions and was so accomodating. His experiences were tough to hear, but you realize just how horrendous it was at Ground Zero for those many months. You can also handle many items taken from the site and you suddenly realize just how devastating Sept. 11 was. We highly recommend visiting this amazing jewel hidden in New York City! You'll never think of that day the same way. |
