| When we first arrived to the outside of the museum in the meat packing district, we didn't think it looked like much and we thought perhaps we overspent for tickets on something that may be minimal for viewing. We even wondered how a two hour tour was going to be utilized fully for one room of items. HOWEVER, we were so wrong. It started with a video with phone call recordings from individuals at WTC and images post incident taken by the artist, Gary Suson. The tour is a self-guided audio tour that brings each visitor to every photograph and artifact on display. Each nook and cranny and portion of wall space is occupied with images and artifacts that tell a very emotional and potent story that will bring tears to your eyes. It was a good experience for my children who were just babies when the incident occured. It was even a good experience for my husband and myself as we were able to feel the emotions of what photograph or item was intended to convey. We were able to learn about specific individuals involved in the rescue efforts which personalized them as individuals who were just downtrodden and weary from what they had to endure. Seeing the artifacts from the WTC restaurant and gift shop or even items found in the debris just made it even more emotional. Again, it is a small museum but don't be fooled by size. It is a wealth of information and personalization of those involved with 9-11 that you didn't get in the news. You leave very humbled. The artist and the gentleman who hosted the tour were sensitive and informative individuals. We highly recommend it and it's definitely worth the cost for admission. |

| My sister and I were in NYC for a few days. We had been to the Ground Zero site many times through the years to view the progress. We were searching online for things to do while in the City and came across this museum. We could not have been happier that we decided to go. This museum was very tastefully done with great respect given to the victims and survivors. It is a totally different picture of 9/11 than you have probably ever seen before. Very healing experience! The photographer, Gary Suson, even made a surprise visit at the end of our tour. Go...you won't be disappointed! |

| It's Not a Ground Zero Museum. It's a Gary Susan's photo Gallery. Not what I expect. |

| Finding all the material in one room initially made one feel that it was going to be a disappointing experience. How wrong could one be! The size of the room magnifies the intensity of the museum, and having a hands-on with material from Ground Zero actually brings you closer to victims, their families and the emergency services. The photographs all have a story to tell, and being narrated by the photographer only heightens one's feelings and reactions.
It truly is unmissable. |

| This display of photographs and artifacts from the recovery of the 9-11-01 World Trade Tower attack, collapse, and ensuing disaster was powerful. Even though I was not personally related to any of the victims, I feel the assault had been an attack on all Americans and this museum reveals the tremendous act of love and respect the recovery personnel showed in performing the arduous task of recovery. After viewing the museum pieces I now feel an even greater sense of loss and question why this tragedy ever took place. This is certainly a testament to the photographer and his work. One does not get the feeling that the photographer wanted to do anything but share his view of the gruesome ordeal, both emotionally and physically, that the process took on the brave men and women who cleaned the site. I was particularly affected when I noticed a single woman's high heeled shoe, somewhat crumpled and dirty. It could have been mine. |

| I did not know what to expect when I entered the museum. Listening to the beginning video and just glancing at the items on display while it was playing made me feel like I was part of the day of 911. I couldn't help but hear the sniffles in the room and I soon found myself looking for the tissue box. I didn't know anyone personally who was killed in the attacks but after the museum tour I felt like I knew everyone.
Thank you for keeping the museum going and for explaining in such detail the courage of the men and women that day. |

| This museum is an homage to the victims and responders to the World Trade Center towers on Sep 11, 2001, and the days of rescue and recovery seen through the eyes of the artist. I recommend this museum for those who wish to also honor victims and responders. This is not a stop for curiousity seekers. The docents are respectful and helpful. |
