Very touching tribute to 9/11. It really hits home to see the pictures and the artificats and the stories behind them. Recommend going and seeing it and remembering those that gave their lives to help others.

This was my second time visiting this place and it is a very moving, powerful experience. It's really a memorial. Gary Suson is a wonderful human being and had a superb idea to create this museum. Having it in this one room that has 2 small sofas in the room and some chairs where you can just sit and take it all in, in addition to the audio and personal tour is just a perfect way to experience this. I think everybody in the universe needs to go at least once. My second time was just as moving as my first time. It is really not to be missed on a trip to NYC.

The museum is very small, but worth the visit. The tour guide was fantastic and very informative. Saw lots of photos, artifacts and heard stories that I never knew about 9/11. It was both amazing and heart breaking at the same time.

I entered not knowing what to expect, a tiny room on the 2nd floor of a building. a room full of pictures, archives, and a ton of humanity. The self-guided tour allowed you to take whatever time you wanted. This was a good thing because it allowed you the time to emotionalyy recover from the last narration. I am a 40+ year-old man and there was several times when all I could do was hold my tears back. There was some humor in some of the photos, so it was good to go back to them and recover from the anger, sadeness, or the many other emotions I was feeling at the time. This "little" museum's set-up was very thought out, very easy to work, and again being self-paced allowed you all the time you needed. I spent almost 2 hours in a 400 sq. ft. room struggling to mentally and emotionally control myself. This is a MUST DO for anyone visiting NYC. Instead of taking a taxi to my next stop I walked the 43 blocks instead. The pictures and emotions still going through my mind, it was like going to a wedding then a funeral then a birth. Again an emotional roller-coatser that was the greatest ride I had inNYC.

we have visited ground zero once before, in 2007 but did not know about this museum. we found info about thru ttheir web-site. we booked in advance and were pleasantly supprised at how intimate and non-touristy this museum is. we were deeply touched thru the 2 hrs. we spent there. we read every and listened to every picture and artifact. this museum gives a whole different look at 911. it shows thru the eyes of people that were there and not just what our government wanted us to know. we will recommend this to anyone that visits nyc. thanks again,,, robert & julia

I would strongly recommend this tour. In an intimate setting, it is very moving and interesting to hear about and see the photos of the recovery efforts through the point of view of someone with such intimate knowledge and access. It is hard to describe the feeling that comes over you when you see the twisted metal from one of the planes, or when you see some of the items that survived pretty much intact, e.g., a pair of glasses, a magazine, a blush compact; items you use or see everyday and don't give a second thought to but which develop a new meaning because of where they came from. Being close to these items really puts a face on those poor people who thought they were just going to work as usual on a beautiful fall day without knowing that would be their last. God bless the recovery workers who had to deal with that on a daily basis.

It was a nice experience, but it wasnt worth what was charged. It was ok though because the money went to the ground zero fund.
